Hey everyone.....Sorry for the lame title.
"Need Some Help..." Yeah, don't we all??!!

Anyway, now that we have gotten the nonsense out of the way.....LOL

I am an American, but I live in Northern Ireland. I was a school teacher in Tennessee, and the school board has finally sent me my check for last year's salary.....My question is this.....

I am not allowed to open a bank account yet, because you have to live here for a certain period of time, before they allow you to open one.

The check is for almost $32,000......

How am I going to get this money? Who will cash a check that large?

I am thinking of trying one of those check-cashing places, but they charge a fee......I am sure that it would be a hefty fee on a check that large.....They may not cash checks that large anyway.....

What should I do?

What type of I.D. will I need to show them? How long will it take for them to verify the check, or do they have to do that?

It is in US funds, will that be prob

I guess it is true what they say.... it's easier to deal with bad credit when you have no money.

I need advice. I have started doing really good financially lately... making over $120k/annually for about the last 2 years.

The problem is that I have really bad credit from write-offs and so forth when I was younger - my fault completely. But now that I am more financially stable and responsible I would like to look into getting a nice car (from somewhere other than a bad credit dealership), and possibly look into buying a house at some point in the future.

What is the first step for correcting bad credit quickly? Should I hire a CPA or lawyer to help me, or are there companies that can assist with this sort of thing? Any related experiences would be helpful, but general info is welcome as well. Thanks. =)

Okay, I am trying to use excel to balance my checkbook. In columns D:D I have my payment amount, in column G:G I have my deposit amount, and in column H:H I have my balance amount. Now, what I am trying to do is, to come up with a formula that allows me to not have to add in my deposit amount to my balance amount each time. I would rather just to type in my deposit amount and my balance amount automatically changes. Right now each time I have a deposit amount I am using this formula for example =SUM (H21, G22, -D22), but I want for every time I enter my deposit amount my balance amount to automatically to change. I don't want to each time enter a formula to compute my balance amount if I have a deposit. I think I might use the SumIF function, but if so I don’t know what I put in the boxes. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!
