ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD WOULD BE USELESS TO YOU.
YOU WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO BACK ITS BUYING POWER.

IT WOULD NOT DO ANYONE ANY GOOD.
IT WOULD BE LIKE HAVING A GLASS OF SALT WATER STANDING IN THE OCEAN.

NICE TO DREAM A LITTLE THO.

I'D GIVE HALF TO YOU FOR THINKING THIS QUESTION UP.

If you already have all the money in the World then everybody is already your slave because they are not getting paid (If they are getting paid $5.15 USD per hour then you no longer have all the money in the World)

You could sell them a glass of water for $515.00 and if they don't pay you they will die.

Of course most people will choose to die because there is no point in working just to survive another day.

Eventually everybody will die.

I don't know for sure but I suspect this is exactly the long term plan for the Devil.

Obviously the human race won't last that long.

Global Warming is real.

Both. I need some for myself and would buy some things. I really want to adopt internationally. That could be seen as selfish or charitable. But I would give away a large portion as well. I know, you're saying "sure you would", but I already donate a percentage of my income, and would continue that trend no matter how much money I had.

If you have all the money of the world it would not be worth anything at all. Our system only works because there is a constant flow/exchange of money. Unfortunately there are no means to regulate the flow, to shift it around (i.e. to the poor), it will flow immediately back to the better organized (and educated) ones. So the only way to get money everywhere is to support education, education, education ...
Perhaps you get different answers if you ask "... all the money you can spend ..."

I would distribute half of it evenly among all the people on the earth (concidering if I had ALL the money no one else would have any at all) and put the rest to fixing the planet,

I'd also like to become ruler of the world. Is that possible?
after all, the best form of government is a benign dictator.

As long as we're fantasizing let's go all the way. By having all the money in the world I would be the de facto ruler.

In that role I would be a benevolent dictator and restructure the entire nature of society as we know it. I'd conduct interviews to find out who is deserving of wealth and to be a "boss"; at the same time I would go easy on those who had a hard time functioning and never seemed to get ahead in life. I would also use ideas from Plato's Republic where those with talent lead and those who don't serve; nobody would make more that 5 times what anyone else made, unless they were of the Thomas Edison, Ayn Rand and Bill Gates-type - because without them nothing would work, so consequently there should be no limit to what they could make; also artists like Van Gogh who never had anything because what they produce can't be measured in terms of dollars would be a kind of aristocracy. Teachers would also be in the aristocracy, because without them not even an Edison could succeed. Sports figures would be relatively poor by today's standards and play for the love of the sport, because after all, sports, despite the fact that I am myself an affirmed Baseball junkie, are essentially leisure activities.

Then I'd take those who showed greedy tendencies and line up the worst one or two percent of them and execute them in front of the other 98% not-so-greedy ones to let them know what they had in store if they ever messed up. Since such tendencies are manifested early in life the damage formerly done by such individuals in previous societies would by and large never occur within mine. Then I'd have spies go around and make sure the remaining 98% of the "greedies" were behaving, but with a large leeway of what is considered "normal", and the rest of the populace who had not exhibited greedy tendencies would never be spied on. But to make this work the nature of the tests would have to be kept secret. I would devise ways to test the "testers" to keep them on the straight-and-narrow so they could not be bribed to let greedy people live.

Then I'd abolish money as a means of exchange (but certainly not the means of production, nor of progress) and allow the people to bring charges of greed against the worst offenders, with adequate controls to prevent false witness. For abolishing money I would let the Gates and Edison- types be semi-autonomous to themselves but with proper military balances as necessary to prevent them from overthrowing my kingdom. Anyone caught trying to create their own currency would be executed.

I would provide cradle-to-grave health care and needless to say the bureaucracy that presently causes medical costs to skyrocket would not exist because I would have abolished it.

And finally I would not hog any of this wealth to myself except just enough to defend myself and this society from those who would depose me and restore greed to its former position. I would live like one of the paupers myself to set a good example, and after I died elections would take place - my only justification for being a despot in the first place would be that the world would need it to become purified. And I would affirm the Goodness of our Creator as my example in every act I did on behalf of this Kingdom.

So tell me: would you live in such a regime or would you rather have what we have now?

I'd give most of it to my parents as they have helped me out a great deal.. and I'll buy a house for me and my son.. then buy a nice car, so the little one can travel to school in comfort.. with the remainder of the money I'll invest some and give the rest to charity like ... erm...

I would remember the biblical question

What has a man gained if he gains kingdom of the three worlds but lost his soul?

If I find I have lost my soul I wold just disown all that money as it sure would further pull me down in the souless world.

If,on the other hand I find I have my soul in the right place I would just not bother what to do about the legacy. My soul would worry about that.Would't it?

I would first establish that the money has to be continually re-invested to continue to produce funds so that the "well doesn't run dry". Then keeping in mind all of the homeless in the world & the tragedies of 3rd world countries & our own, I would approach large corporations worldwide with an agreement; we would, together begin building housing that will house homeless & needy. These people in turn, agree to be trained to work for less money from the company for a specific timeframe. They would live in the housing rent free per se' for up to one year. Each paycheck they would contribute back some of the money to keep it going & receive credit counseling. I would ask the governments to offer tax advantages to the corporations involved with this endeavor. The plus is companies could operate on a lower budget for personnel, have much needed tax advantages, have staff trained the way the company needs & wants. The homeless people, who most don't want to be in their circumstances to begin with, it was simply unfortunate, unforseen events that led them there, will not only be able to get back on their feet but also be helping to establish a foundation for others in their shoes. They will benefit from working, housing, credit saavy & will re-establish roots within their communities which in turn creates tax dollars for their country, etc. It's a huge circle of life & we all should be pitching in to help our brothers & sisters that truly want & need it.
Then on a personal level, I would buy every single stitch of land I could get my hands on worldwide.
I would also begin to provide much needed medical supplies for other countries, i.e., fully equipped ambulances/mobile hospitals & food. I was appalled way back when as a part of USA for Africa & we sent the people in that country, wheat. Hard to know what to do with wheat when you can't find water.
I would begin to teach others about irrigation & planting & so on so that at least there would be food. If you feed a man a fish, you feed him for a day but if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for life. Remember, commerce & capitalization is everywhere so the governments involved would have to get benefit or "someone" would put an end to human helping human...gotta' think about that but I think you get the idea.
Oh & I would take a trip to Italy & around the world I think, help some friends who've helped me. I would write a book, go on tour, place advertisments & tell as many as I could to get back in touch with their spirit & help one another. We're all in this huge battle to survive & it seems that day by day we care less & less for those we could help.
The list of what I would do with tons of money is endless but suffice it to say, I'd stay right here in my home, & set it up where I'd never have to worry about money again & then I'd take every single cent of the rest & begin to teach that yes, one person can truly change the world.
Think of the great tsunami, New Orleans/Katrina, The One Campaign & 9/11 in the USA. We humans, for the most part, at our core, know the right thing to do & at times such as these, we are all one people, one color, One earth.
Humankind has not woven the web of life; we are but one thread within it; whatever you do to the web, you do to yourself. All things are bound together all things connect.
