Make sure you do not violate any local laws. Curbside pickup in the better neighborhoods can yield many treasures just waiting.
Dumpsters in retirement communities also yield a lot. Some businesses dispose of old merchandise at times. I have seen people make a good living from dumpster diving.

I tink you can drive around any neighbourhood on garbage day and take items that are separate from the bagged stuff. People put stuff out hoping it will be taken by someone rather than for landfill. I think going through bags is an invasion of privacy.

yes once the garbage can is put outside it's anybobies, but do it in the early morning hours, otherwise the suckers get upset.
