Ready to retire (within a year)! Have saved and invested for 30 yrs. Need a retirement plan. Would like to prepare my own. Financial planners are too expensive!! Should be a do-it-yourself guide out there somewhere.

I have no colateral, no checking account and bad credit but need cash fast. Maybe there is a place where you can use your job as your credit and they just give you a high interest rate.

I am a med student, whose wife works. We don't have enough to pay for school, but are tyring to pay the interest on the un-sub. gov. loans. Would it be better to invest this money, we are getting ready to open a ROTH IRA and roll over previous 401k(s).

I currently have a fixed rate of about 12%, and I was wanting to see what my options were for refinancing. Can I trust such online services as Ditech.com or Loantree.com?

I hope you have the will power to resist the retailers hyping every holiday, even sacred and somber days like Christmas and Memorial day, as a day to empty your pockets and rack up your charge cards. Saving is sweet----I know I have practiced it; and I have fun when I spend. But I am not a sucker like many of you and fall for this sale and that sale. After all, how many pairs of shoes or watches or pieces of jewelry do you need.

If non-essential spending gives you a high and you are maxing out on your debt or your saving is not at least 15% of your pay, you have a sickness. Find a cure, quick!

I set up a new joint bank acount with my partner, didn't set up an agreed overdraft limt, we have gone 9.98 overdrawn, and they are charging us £30.00 for going overdrawn. I REALLY dont want to pay, what proceedure should I use? Go to the branch and rant and rave or write a stern letter to head office? Any hints or tips on getting a result in my favour..

What happens now..Can i be arrested for that?
I did 3 loans online and they were all like cash advanc..then they take withdrawls when my paycheck was deposited.
Now my bank account is closed and I dont know where to pay NSF and clear my record. Maybe im on that "checks" system now=(

This probably sounds weird but I cannot seem to say no to my husband and he spends everything he has and comes back for more and more money. Neither of us has to work any more but the majority of our money comes in spurts from real estate investments. As everyone knows, the market is pretty soft this year and we need to be much more careful. We can spend about 30K a month but, he always outspends it. Trying to get him to budget is useless. I am afraid I can't keep up with it and I finally realize that I can't say no to him no matter how hard I try. It is gong to ruin us. So I want to take the responsibility out of my hands and I just wish that I could. I know it sounds immature. I just need to protect myself from my own self and my lovable but overindulged husband. I am sure there are people who would gladly steal our money, I just need some good advise on whether there are options? Do accountants do this kind of thing?

I have a 2 and a half year old son who requires intensive therapy. We have to keep him covered by 2 health insurances, or we would be spending even more on co-pays, as he goes to 5-10 therapy sessions a week. The cost of the health insurance is about 500 a month. We are trying to get money put into savings, but can't do that until we get this health insurance thing under control.
