All products sold by the company have a two year warranty for any manufacturing defects. . As the company is growing, this amount is becoming more material. Warranty claims eventually tend to be approximately 10% of total sales in the first year and 15% in the second year based on prior experience. I am not really sure what a provision is and if a provision can be recognised in the accounts before a claim is made, as the provision will not be accurate as we do not know what actual costs will be incurred. So, how we should account for warranty expenses?

I've seen indirect references that said he was once a mainframe / FORTRAN / COBOL programmer, but no specifics in any online biographies.

Or was he a programmer in the sense that he once wrote a "Hello world" program?

I'm studying for an exam to become a Certified Bookkeeper and this question stumped me. The choices are asset, expense, liability or revenue.

Shouldn't the account name end with "Revenue" or "Expense"? I think then I'd know the answer.

According to my cousin, management consultancies such as Accenture are just companies that sell software rather than actual consult on strategies like Mckinsey. What are thoughts on this?

I am a teenager setting up an ice-cream stand soon. I can't always be there, so I'm planning to employ a couple friends. How can I make sure that they're not taking money or giving free cones away, as I might not always be there afterwards to check? I don't have a cash register. Thanks in advance

Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself

I work for a company dealing with compensation claims for products that were sold between 1990 and 2005 and the contracts aren't actually valid!

This is quite a new thing and is a great success so I wanted to share it with others.

The products are mortgages or secured loans with sub prime lenders. Car finances over £10000 or house repossesstions.

If you think this may apply to you then please contact me and I will be able to tell you if it is a valid claim.

Thanks

Mel

I'm currently studying finance in uni and we're taught portfolio theory and that diversification works well in reducing risk. However I don't believe in this as it is all theory. Does anyone know how and why some investors can make huge returns by just investing in one stock w/o diversification? How can they predict if a share price is going up w/o having insider information?

I took out a payday loan (stupid thing) and Something came up and I couldn't pay it back at that time, but sent what I could and now they are saying that I paid the loan in full but there are other charges that I have to pay. When I asked for a bill or something showing the amount they refused. They harrass me at work and home. They now just called and wanted Human Resources so they can do a wage garnishment. I thought you had to go Court in order for them to do it. And I tried to look the loan company up to see if they are legal in Illinois and I can't find anything on their business. It is getting so embarrassing. How can I make them go away. How can they garnish my wages. I don't make all that much and I am supporting my 2 kids, where daycare takes most my check anyway. How can they get away with this? They said they are from Westbury or something like that? Anybody have any advise on what to do? They are harrassing me..
