What are some good referance list for financial accounting?

I have no background in accounting studies yet but would like to go through course material before i take up accounting course. Can someone please suggest some books referance material for financial accounting?

I don't know about books. Technical books are expensive. Why don't you have a look at these sites first before deciding?
