I sold my Dell computer on Craigslist for $600. The to-be buyer says that he would pay through a money order and would pay the shipping to East Chicago in Indiana (exact words). I live in Atlanta. Should I trust it? I did ask for a USPS Money Order or Paypal, but he hasn't responded yet (I only did it about 5 minutes ago).

Should I trust it, and should the money order clear?

I have worked for the company for 14 years and they are now closing. They want me to sign a paper that will pay me two weeks pay but by signing I agree not to file for unemployment. I have heard that I can get 14 weeks of pay which will equal to my 14 years of service. They said that it is not true.

I have tried all kinds of sites, but most of them require money and are not legitimate. Are there any real sites out there? I'm not looking for "free" money, just a way I can do a little online work in my spare time to make a little extra spending money.

I can't think of another commodity, physical asset, or product (not paper investments) that is less likely to depreciate over time.

I understand that YES, precious metals can depreciate simply by supply/demand, inflation/deflation. But, comparatively, other things are much worse. What else can I buy and resell for a profit after time?

Baseball cards? A house (too much unfront & debt)? a car? Food? Electronics? CDs? DVDs? Books? antiques? Clothes? Ink carts?

So my question is, if I'm not into paper investments, would owning precious metals be the best alternative in both preserving purchasing power and potential profit?

How much will college algebra help with this class? Are there particular parts to the class to pay extra attention to since I’m mostly interested in learning about business and accounting? I’m disappointed about having to take this class, but would feel better about it if I knew why I had to take it.

a former tenant who refused to give forwarding address had a parcel delivered to my home 3 weeks after he left. i did nothing with it, but didn't send it back thinking he or a friend would eventually show up and ask for it. now he is threatening me with some vague Federal violation. Am I in the wrong for sitting on the thing? PS it was sent Federal Express, not USPS and there was no signature - it was just dropped off.
