its all right there for you without having to leave the building or order in to get lunch. You also dont have to stop at McDonalds for breakfast. Just a morale booster if nothing else.

You can spend more time at your desk because you don't have to travel to find lunch. You can sit and talk to people at the lunch table. You can make new friends or form alliances with people in other departments. It saves on gas for everyone who works there. When people are happy and making friends at work, they are less likely to want to leave the company.

You don't have to go out and spend money on gas to get you somewhere. You don't have to make your own stuff and take it. They are usually more reasonably prices than fast food type places. They are also usually better for your health, as they tend to have more variety for people wanting less fat in their food.

You dont have to go far to get food
if you dont have time to pack lunch you can just buy it there
you can have a place to eat with your coworkers..
