my wife got a letter from the tenth international sweepstakes. she was told she was the first place winner. A sum of $49,900. the drawing took place in Las Vagas, Navada and the head office is in London, England. They sent her a check to endorce and sendback for $2,980. saying its for international clearance fees. They gave a phone number to contact them but we could not get through. Tel: +447877096847 and another number for London England +44787706847. Is this place for real or not? Or they just trying to get us to endorce this check and send it back to them?

I joined REIA last year and learned a lot by attending the meetings and even more when checking out the books. Russ Whitney & Ron Legrand, especially. I have been able to find property & even investors with no problem.

My question is, what do, I need to say to them to get them to do a deal with me. I can find them easily and even get them to listen to me. I have spoken with several investors and was even offered a deal (that I didn't take) but most of them keep asking me to verify my numbers. I use Ron Legrand's formula when evaluating properties. What am I doing wrong? How can I get them to stop going back and forth with me & just move forward with a deal???

When, are poeple going to realise that banks are a business? I have been seeing all this commotion about bank charges and people claiming charges back with amazement.
Banks are there to make money, just like any other business, so therefore, they are going to make a charge when you don't adhere to the contract you have signed with the bank, where, it will clearly states how you must conduct the account, how many of you asked what the charges were when you opened the account?

White Castle for example. They don't have them in every state. Why is that? It would be common sense to try to expand as much as possible especially with the high success rate of franchise businesses.

When will they open one here in Mass?! :-(

Im writing a topic overview about Cathay Pacific's IT strategy to cut costs. Does this make sense to you, all Im looking for are comments on grammar, and sentence structure. Please Critique it for me! thanks!
Overview :
Anthony Yueng, the acting general manager of information management (IM), was facing difficult choices. Cathay Pacific’s cost reduction initiative made choosing which additional IT functions were better outsourced or retained in-house a challenge. More than sixty percent of his operating budget was already earmarked for outsourced key IT functions. Moreover, the “doing more with less” mandate was a balancing act, citing the relationship between cost and quality.
Yueng’s application of “smartsourcing” was a breakthrough. “Smartsourcing” a term dubbed by internal management is a calculated approach to outsourcing. Smartsourcing made cost reduction and upgrade on quality possible---it was the “doing more with less” solution.

Barclays have joined the bandwagon and are closing down call centres to move to Mumbai. Should this affect your decision on whether to continue banking with them and does anyone see it as a racist gesture when customers close their accounts because of this?
