I am a freshman college student who has saved about $12,000 over the past couple of years through my part time job, with no use for it in the near future. Right now I have all of it in a savings account at my bank. Should I invest some/all of this money, if so, where do I go to do that? Plus, does it really make that big of a difference if I keep it in the savings or invest it? Thanks!

I tried Zapdata.com, but that didn't provide with information about the company. I am looking for information on the company Tri-State Events. Zapdata had information for a company at that address, but it was called something different. I looked up Quest which was the name of the company prior to Tri state events, but that gave information about a company at that address called color quest and it said it was in the photo laboratories industries...which is not industry Quest is in. This company is one of those pyramid scheme marketing companies who claims to be and Inc., but I don't know how that works exactly. I am sure there is a bigger company at the top of the pyramid, so does that mean I can not find the financial information? I just want any information on the company, because some things are not adding up and I have read some fishy stories about these companies on the rip off reports.

I sold a Guitar on eBay to someone in Canada. He received it and now claims i sold him a fake Chinese copy. He obviously doesn't know what he is talking about (or wants to rip me off). He also states there was damage to the case. There was not, and i have pictures, but not of the entire case. Why would that matter if you think you have a fake guitar anyways....He opened a dispute with paypal, they froze the money from that sale. I have letters from experts and receipts from where i bought it stating that it is in fact genuine, as well as pictures. I escalated the dispute and am sending paypal my "proof".
I know for a fact the sale was legit. A very good deal for him. Either he is trying to pull a fast one, or he inst educated enough to know a fake from a authentic guitar. whats to stop him now from going somewhere with a fake and saying thats what i sold him?
What are my chances with this dispute?

Many are being sold on Ebay. I think its kind of smart & really not a bad thing to do, but I was currious to hear what all you out there think.

I asked my close friend of nearly 20 years to hold over $3, 000 for me since I did not have an account in which to deposit it. She now claims she does not have the funds. Although I endorsed the check, I still have the attorney's paperwork, verifying the check. As a last resort I will have to take her to small claims court but there has to be a reasonable way for me to get back my money, which she is now claiming she doesn't have-it's gone. I know good-bye on the friendship but good-bye to the money too?

I opened a checking account with bank of america. Then the other day I received my atm card in the mail, but I threw away the paper the has the phone number to activate the card. I know I can go inside the bank and have then activate it for me, but it would be a lot easier if i could do it over the phone. SO I was wondering if anyone has the phone number that i did to call to set up my card???

Last weekend I bought a digital camcorder from Comet for £400 plus 3 years insurance for £100. The manager gave us a discount on the insurance of £20, but for some reason had to take the discount off the camera rather than insurance. So on the receipt it showed a total of £480 (£380 for the camera and £100 for the insurance).

I was unhappy with the camera so two days ago I brought it in to exchange it for another camera worth £430. I also decided that I didn't want the insurance.

They made me pay back the £20 discount that I received on the insurance by adding it onto the price of the new camera.

I thought that I should get £50 back (£450 for the new camera - with the £20 added on - less £400 for the old camera -because I paid back the discount)

But I only got £30 back.

I'm usually really good with numbers but for some reason I keep getting confused because the sales person said I only get £30 back and he wouldn't explain it to me.

Have I been conned by Comet!??

I can't believe that some idiot ever came up with the idea of having people say something and then having a machine decipher what they are trying to say. These things never know what people are saying and if you get frustrated they just hang up on you without ever getting you to a real person. How can companies feel that this is helping their customers in any way? I want to find out who the idiot is that designed this crap and let him know how stupid his idea was. Let me know your thoughts.
