I'm looking for a good life insurance policy for my 7 month old daughter. I want something that she can eventually take over and will be a decent size for her. I also would like the premiums to stay close to the same so I don't have to worry about her being able to afford it later in life. Has anyone tried the Gerber life program..what are your thoughs on it? Thanks!

My husband and I are semi-retired and living in Ghana. He has retiree life insurance for himself through his previous employer, but the policy for me is very small. Given that we live out of the country, though we maintain a NJ mailing address, can we get life insurance? He is in his mid-50s, and I am in my mid-40s; both non-smokers in good health. We're both American citizens.

Any ideas?

I have been considering moving to Ontario once I graduate college but have noticed from family friends and reading stuff online that the health care is pretty bad there. So I was wondering, this is probably a stupid question, but if I moved there I could keep my health insurance here and just come here to go to the doctor and such right? As long as I where still a US resident? Or am I wrong?

I live in WA state and am thinking of taking the test so I can sell insurance. I have been in healthcare 15+ years, worked for an HMO and have an insurance contract and negotiation background. However, many jobs now require an active license for sales or enrollment. Any advice?

I just recently had my 2005 BMW stolen from my garage at home. (Toronto, Ontario) Now, as the time to settle with my insurance company draws closer, I wanted to know what I am entitled to. The car was leased through BMW with $5800 down. My buyout today is in the $33,500 range. The street value of my car (very low mileage, executive edition) ranges from $35 - $41k. My question is will my insurance company only pay off the $33k owing to BMW or will they re-imburse me any of the cash I put down as the value of the car was greater than what the lease b/o is.

We are having a family reunion in July for 100 people in San Diego. We want to stay at a college and all they need is a 1 Million dollar liablity insurance from us. They've never had a family stay at the college (corporations only) because they cant afford the insurance. They would welcome us, if we have an idea on how to get this done (reasonably). They have no idea. Any Suggestions? Thank you

my longtime boyfriend and i have been discussing having a child. i don't have a job with health insurance, but he does. on his policy, there is an option for individual +spouse or partner and child. am i correct in assuming that by partner, they mean a same-sex partner as opposed to a long-term companion?

i am aware that child would be covered regardless, but am i not eligible for his plan unless we're actually married?

(not sure exactly what company he has)

I being the oldest of 6 siblings, just lost one of my younger brothers .I contacted a attorney because of unusual circumstances that accured before his death and after passing , by the woman he lived with . I'm wondering if there's any way I can find out if she had a Life Insirance Policy and if there's any way I can find out ? I have his Soc. Sec. no. , death certificate. This is another case in the State of Tennessee ,but I'm not familiar with the insurance laws . The Attorney I contacted about a wrongful death law suit wouldn't take the case and suggested I talk to the D.A. in that town because it sounded more of a criminal act .That would most certainally be a waste of time as corruption is the name of the game and of coarse " money being the root of all eveil " I wouldn't have a snow balls chance in hell. I'd appreciate it if any one can tell me another way of finding out about a possible life insurance policey . I also have the death certificate .

I'm a medical student on academic leave until late June. Basically, I need to wait for the foundations week that marks the beginning of the 3rd year at UCLA.

During the fall, I had the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan with UC Riverside. Early this month of February, I had to go to the doctor because of bronchitis. A few weeks later, I received a letter informing me that the visit wasn't covered because I no longer have health insurance.

Financially, I have 7.7k debt on an auto loan, and about 8k in credit cards. I currently work part-time at Dell Taco and as a full-time temp at a lab. I can expect to earn about $1700 per month from now on.

The question is, where can I get health insurance and still pay off my debts? I had a few family members mention medicare, but I've only gotten lost so far.

If I want to take out a portion of the cash value, why must I borrow it in the form of a loan? actually it is MY money that I have already paid taxes on.

Why upon death does the insurance company get to keep ( steal) the cash value? It seems like the concept of the cash value only exists for the companies benefit.

Why the shell game with people's money? Also, how do you smooth this over with the people that you serve and make it sound good?

I have recently received my house& contents renewal, to my horror they had me done as making three claims ?? upon investigation, 1 claim I agree with, the other two are as follows.

No 2. I claimed on my holiday insurance when my case was broken into.(nothing to do with house & contents ins)

No3. WAIT for it !! I rang my insurance company following storm Damage to my property, I was not able to claim because the wind
that day was not HIGH enough to cause damage. !! My Insurance company are saying, This is classed as a claim !!! although they did not go the loser. I paid to have my property repaired.

Does anybody know what I can do to get my insurance company to take claims 2 & 3 off my records. It does seem so unfair.

I was wondering how many of you out there have purchased insurance in there travel? I would say especially for International travel where many aren't covered medically.

What were your reasons for purchasing insurance? What reasons did you choose not to purchase insurance? Have you ever known someone where insurance helped them or where insurance could have helped them had they purchased it?

This question is sparked because today here at work I get TWO calls (ok that is VERY unusual) of ones that had a tragic event happen in there life. One his mother had a stroke and the other I’m unsure of the details all I gathered was it was her Brother in Law. Neither purchased Insurance. One will be out $2,200 dollars. The other 800 dollars.

Vendors penalties are extremely strict, especially now a days. Typically and yes we will try for you, they don't waive penalties due to it's unfairness to those who did purchase insurance.

What are your thoughts on this subject?
