I have a worker's comp injury where I fell down cement stairs, out cold, awoke in ambulance. Have 3 disc bulges and whip lash type injury. I now suffer with extreme headaches. I have FCE Tues and insurance doctor said "they will know if you are cheating" I am not exaggerating at all. My question is do they assume all inured workers are fraudulant? How do you get past doctor's who obviously has formed an opinion of me that isn't accurate. I am a very honest person caught in a bad situation. Any insurance adjusters who have insight let me know. I am starting to take this personally and not to sound juvanile...my feelings are hurt.

I have student health insurance and they only paid about 20% of the costs. I had to have 2 major unexpected surgeries and being a college student, I have no money to cover near these expenses. I'm really frustrated b/c being in healthcare, I have noticed that people with no money or insurance get operations for free. My family is middle class and can not near afford these costs. Anyone know of some assistance program I can contact?

Hello.

I'm accepted by my husband's company insurance where my he is coverd but I haven;t gotten my card yet.

My question is, if I bring my husband's insurance card to a hospital or dentist, will I be coverd since I'm accepted in insurance company's system but don't have the card(material) physically??

He and I filled out the documentations and brought to HR of his company but I haven't gotten my card though he handed it to HR more than a month ago.

The insurance company said HR should give him log-in code to enter the insurance company's website(system) but HR kept telling him that "You should get a letter from the insurance company." which he hadn't,

His company's HR told him that I'm accepted already but I'm wondering I'll be coverd with the card that hasn't my name on it.

Would the clinic/dentist accept the card even though my name is not on the card but my husband's?

I'd really appreciate if you could answer me. Thank you so much in advance.

I am needing help? We live in Alabama an we own a small painting business an we have been told that in 2007 it is mandtory to have workmans comp even if we have 1 employee beside my husband. This is with all contractors an there subs. So our contractor wants to take out $12.45 per hundred we make to cover my husbands workmans comp. Then I'm told I have to get workmans comp on my single employee. Is this correct or what.

I bought my home not realizing I needed flood insurance until after the fact and it cost me $2500. The next year I coudln't pay it and the mortage (Countrywide) placed lender placed coverage for only $700 for the year covering interest on loan (a lot cheaper). My house is on top a hill that would have to be a big rain to come close to flooding and hasn't flooded in 60 years. My question is can they foreclose if I don't fix this or each year will the just continue to use there lender placed policy which is allowing me the opportunity to stay in my home? Am bout 3 months from next insurance due date.

the math just is not workin out. Someone is taking a loss in this equation. i dont see how the plans are free, pay the agent 300-450 dollars. i know cms pays like 8,000 a year to pay the premiums. i dont get why they would pay that. if it is to save cms money then it would be costing the insurance company. someone please enlighten me.

I have found good and bad websites. To me it kinda sounds like it's too good to be true. Does any one know if the life insurance they sell is any good or if that is also another scam.

oxford because i added my wife and 2 kids on after my wife left her job. my current plan would have cost 1,900 a month for family coverage. we switched to one through oxford as well with 1,300 a month coverage. the in network coverage seems to be identical except the copays are 20 for primary care and 30 for specialist instead of 10 and 10 on the old plan. in network hospitalization is 500 dollar co-pay for in-patient and $250 co-pay for out-patient.

on the out of network this is the deal: 2,000 deductible per person and 6,000 per family total deductible. co-insurance is listed as 70% of 10,000. out of pocket is listed as 3,000 per person and 9,000 per family excluding deductible. out of network hospitalization is deductible and co-insurance. out of network E.R. visits are 75 dollars each.

my general question is this decent health insurance? would this be considered high deductible insurance? would i be completely screwed if a family member had to stay out of network at a hospital?
