No such thing as "the best" insurance. Your needs are different from my needs and therefore the plans that suit me may not work for you.

If you're purchasing the insurance yourself, see about Healthy NY. It's the same plans that employers offer, but New York state subsidizes the cost, instead of the employer, so you're paying a bit less than if you did it on your own.

As far as what plans are most widely accepted in your area: GHI PPO and HIP plans - they're based in NYC, and the further north you go, the smaller network of doctors you have to choose from. Going much further north than Westchester and Rockland SEVERELY limits your choices! On the flip side - MVP and CDPHP are based around Albany, so in Westchester, you might not find anyone outside of WCMC who takes the plan.

YOU need to go to this site right now... They can cover you with a PPO plan just like blue cross

plans start at $79 and yes they cover all people

no turn downs

pre exisiting conditions - no problem
