I would like to know under what circumstances , if any, will homeowners insurance pay for a new roof? We have friends that told us a roofer looked at theirs a few years ago and said it had hail damage, then homeowners paid for all of it. Would that generally be the case?

One of the biggest reasons that so many Americans are either losing coverage, paying more for, or going without, healthcare coverage is because of the rising cost of healthcare insurance.

At this time, over 40% of Americans go without healthcare coverage and many more are paying more and more each day.

What can be done to reduce the amount that is charged for premiums?

I'm a good guy, I pay my premium on time and have been loyal to them. I was rammed by two yobs, who then drove away hitting three other cars eventually abandoning it a short distance away. My partner and her eleven year old daughter were injured. The nearside wheel arch and headlight, indicator housing was wrecked making it virtually undrivable.

Why am I then nine days later, still answering the same questions to the same people, still waiting to have my car examined. Now to cap it all, they're saying I may have to pay for all the damage because the other car was stolen and they need to redeem their losses!! What is the point of car insurance when they dont give you the protection they promise? I must be thick or something. Help!!!..............cracking up.

Could also be actual numbers, how many times in a year does an insurance company like Met Life, pay out to children who have lost one or both of thier parents?

I am debating on getting life insurance, but I am already covered through my job and was wondering of anyone actually knows the statistics.

It seems insurance folks, almost "shock the system", with irrelivant statistics, like 70% of all people die without insurance, but fail to put it into context. Or "would you risk your childs future by not having it?"

Yet there are traditional ways to invest and save, and the insurance companies after all make profits in the Billions every year... Hummm,,,

What are the statistics of how many people have life insurance, and die at an early age?

I want to know out of the 250 million people in the US, how many people die unexpectatly, not of natural causes..

Cause lets say 1 million people die in a year out of the 250 million,,,, then thats less than one percent!

1,000,000 into 250,000,000 = only .004 percent!

So, thats inline with getting hit by lightning, or winning the lottery....

Sounds like life insurance is a waste?!

The insurance company is hiring engineers to say the roof wasn't built properly, but I know it is from wind damage. I hired my own engineer that sais it is wind damage too but the insurance company still will not pay. The tiles are loose from the vibrations caused by the wind and the insurance company is saying that it is from poor workmanship. I already took this to mediation and they brought out the same engineer to say it is less that 3% damage from wind. Florida's buildind code states that it has to be 25%. If anybody has tips or ideas please let me know......

I am trying to get a health insurance policy with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of IL. I have had and HMO policy with them for about 3 years. My cobra policy with them is about to run out shortly as of March 1. I was in the process of trying to get another policy with them. I had the understanding that they would cover me completely since I had been covered with them for 3 years. Was I mistaken? Can they reject me just like anybody else? Do they not have to accept my medical pre -existing conditions? I thought they did since they had been covering them for this amount of time. I do not know anything about the law. Is there any place I could look to find out my rights in this matter? I have to know soon. I do not want to be without insurance.

My business idea will protect property during work by window fitters, builders decorators. In fact any type of work where people will be in and out of a building bringing in dirt and staining carpets.

As part of my buiness plan I need to know the potential savings that companies who buy my producy could make via reduced claims and hence insurance premiums
