My business idea will protect property during work by window fitters, builders decorators. In fact any type of work where people will be in and out of a building bringing in dirt and staining carpets.

As part of my buiness plan I need to know the potential savings that companies who buy my producy could make via reduced claims and hence insurance premiums

You'll have to pay a marketing focus group to research that informaion - it's NOT going to be available to you via the insurance industry.

You could be going down the wrong track with this. Depending on your product/business idea, you may be better-off approaching Trade firms direct for two reasons:

1) You will have a larger market area than insurance companies.

2) An insurer would only become involved -'post' and not 'pre' damage.

Your product would be preventative and needs to be focused before work commences. - Good luck anyway.

Or you could go door to door and ask and after you've gotten a large number of responses do the analysis.
