I own a condo in Louisiana. I was recently informed by the office manager that all the owners may be forced to remove their barbeque pits from their balconies due to insurance requirements. There was no rule against this when I moved in. Is this legal? Do they have the right to tell me what I can and cannot put on my balcony?

My husband just recently lost his job, and therefore our medical insurance. And so far, he hasn't been able to find a replacement job. My husband, our daughter and I are all on prescription drugs for various reasons.

My mom told me she heard on the radio about a prescription company that will provide free prescriptions for people in our situation. But she doesn't remember the name of the company. Does anyone here know what company it is?

what do you do when you need prescriptions? We don't have medical insurance right now due to my husband switching jobs, and he needs blood pressure medicine that runs over $100. I called his dr and asked for samples, but haven't heard back. he must have this medication. Are there any legal programs that "give" medications to people with no insurance? I would appreciate any info.

Just the other night I looked down and noticed my 1.2 karat diamond was missing out of the setting on my ring. I didn't have it listed on our home owners. I can't find the receipt either from when my husband purchased it. Can I claim it? Or is my husband and I just out 5,000?

Who is this type of policy ideal for? I am almost thrity and considering many options at this point, but I don't want to consider any options solely based on my representatives opinion. What is the purpose of building a cash value in an insurance policy?

I'm looking into buying a house in the area, around 8 1/2 and Mound and the cost of home insurance is about twice that of comparable areas. Why is this so? Is there a high crime rate I should be aware of?

My daughter got stopped by the police today and has to produce her documents. She has insurance but cant remember who it is with and cannot find the policy. Does anyone know how she can find out. She obviously does not want to get fined or worse when she is covered. I have already told her she is an idiot!

I have pretty bad scars on my cheeks and forhead from acne in the past...It causes me to have alot of anxiety. I hate going out and meeting anyone new. I am soooo paranoid about my scars. I got my picture taken with my three sons and never went and bought the pictures because I couldn't even look at myself in the pics. I am thinking about them constantly. I will NOT go anywhere without makeup. I won't take classes or do anything out of my comfort zone all because of my self conciousness about the scars. I know I need to get laser resurfacing so that I can live my life again. I just can't afford $6000! That's alot! I know something needs to be done...oh and by the way I was put on antidepressants and nothing made me feel better so I got off them after 7 months. My kids will be in school soon and I'm going to have to start facing alot of new people. I HOPE that there is insurance that would cover this :( If anyone has any info on this PLEASE advise! Thanks :)

The "cafeteria plan" was offer in an office memo. I signed up for it not completly knowing how to use it, and it was never explained how. Monies have been taken out for this since 2003 and I have NEVER used it. I am no longer employed by this company as of Sept 2006. Is there any way to get these funds back?

My fiance has medical covered at his job, but i am always afraid that he might lose it, or that we won't have medical when we need it. I'm not on his medical yet, but as soon as we get married i will be. Would it be wise for me to get health insurance from an insurance company until we get married? should i keep it after i get married also? what exactly is the purpose of it?

My daughter is pregnant and is covered under Kaiser through my plan at work. If I assume grandchildren are not covered by my plan at work (I don't want to tell them just yet), will this grandchild be covered when it's born in the Kaiser hospital? I read somewhere that when a mother is covered, even if the new infant is NOT going to be covered on the insurance that there's a state law that all newborns are automatically covered by the mother's insurance for the first 31 days of life. ***This pregnancy is a sensitive issue and I don't want to check yet with my work about coverage.***

I am covered under my mother's health insurance until I am 23 years old. I live on my own and am pregnant. (live in Portland, Oregon) I have heard of a law in Oregon that requires a newborn to be covered under their mother's insuarnce for the first 30 days after they are born. I have been trying to research this but have not found any information on insuarnce coverage for newborns in the state of Oregon at all. Please help.
