I worked in retail for all of my working days until I found an insurance job, and haven't done anything else since. You are still servicing customers, but this is for something that is needed by them, so it's not so difficult sometimes. Plus if you know what you are doing, you can help educate many people and use your sales skills to sell. I love it, and I am now starting my own agency and can't wait for my income to keep going up and up to unlimited potential! Go for it!

It depends on what insuarnce you go into. I just starting with a type of insurance, that within the next 5-10 years will be so big, I will be happy to be on this end of it. A lot of the insuarnces are tapped out now, but you know, people will always need some sort of insurance.

Yeah, you probably are. I got out of banking (& a parttime retail job) & into insurance because one of my customers was part owner of an agency & needed an assistant. Here I am 18 yrs later, still in insurance. I moved and swore I wouldn't stay in insurance but there was an ad in the paper for insurance...I got the job...So, here I stay.
