I have been getting solicitation to purchase mortgage insurance from a few companies in some ways related (but not affiliated) with my credit union I obtained my mortgage through. This particular one covers job loss, disability, death.
My question is that is it worth it?
How much should I expect to pay (in premium)?
What type of questions should I ask?
What loopholes should I be aware of?
Thanks

How does one go about verifying an electrician's liscense and insurance coverage? What I read says to ask for a copy of the liscense and insurance coverage. Is there a database to search to make sure the liscense is active? Is there a common phone number to call and validate? thx

I live in Massachusetts and I my father just passed away. On my fathers life insurance and 401k plan he has his sister as the sole beneficiary on everything. He told me last year when he was dying that he has her on everything because she is older and that it should all be shared between her my brother and I and her sister. (40%, me, 35%, my brother and 25% his sisters.) I am the beneficiary of his will thats it. His life insurance and 401k plan is over $200,000 total. Is she intitled to everything of his 401 and life? And is it up to her to do what she wants with it? If so can I take her to court to fight for my brother and I to get anything of that? Also in the will it says my brother and I are entitled to " tangible personal property" which excludes money? What do I do in this case? We are his next of kin but seems like were entitled to nothing.

so that the people owning and living in their expensive homes can have their Hurricane Insurance reduced!

It seems to me that if they afford to live in these expensive homes they should be able to afford to pay for their insurance themselves!

No one helps me pay for my Auto Insurance that is through the roof here in this Insurance Company controlled State!

This is BS!

I am a non-US citizen and need this information to do a case.

Specifically:
1) Is health insurance compulsory for everyone?
2) What happens if someone cannot afford it?
3) In the event that a medical procedure needs to be done, does health insurance cover all the bills? Does the patient need to pay anything extra?
4) Does the patient have any say over what kind of procedure he can take? Say if 2 treatments are available for his condition, can the patient choose the more expensive treatment? And if so, is it covered by the insurance?

Thanks for reading this. Your help in answering any part of the questions would be greatly appreciated!

My Grandmother resently passed aways & left my brother & I each life insurance policies while her estate went to my mother. My question is that going through her possession to sell the house since it's in Illionois & no one lives there. My mom asked if there was anything my brother or I wanted like furniture, pictures, etc. My question is that if I take a rug or bed frame or dresser, whatever, is there something I will to valid the item for appraisal or sale in the even it became necassarily? I put my name as did my brother on a few items each like dressers or rugs what have you & some are quite old & it's been recommended that I get insurance in case of theft or more likely accidential damage say by a flood or fire so that in that event all would not be lost & my grandmothers wish to "benefit" us would still go on. Just wondering.

Could any of the 3 kids(all adults) check the status of the claim? It is pushing 90 days since he said he filed the claim on their mother's group life policy. Why would it be taking so long and should someone else be checking?

I live in Iowa and am the only employee for a small business, so insurance is ridiculous. Right now I'm using American Republic Health Insurance, and every few months they raise the fees even when I haven't gotten ill! I'm really sick of this, is there any decent health coverage in Iowa for small businesses?

I'm covered by United Heathcare (UHC). I recently took my son to St Mary's (Bon Secours) Emergency Room in Richmond, VA.

St Mary's is a United in-network hospital, but apparently the emergency room doctor isn't in-network. United only paid some of the bill claimed the remained isn't usual and customary. My in-network and out-of network plan reimbursement rates are identical.

After a few months of talking to folks on the phone, I've filed a formal claim appeal. Do I have any chance of getting the claim paid?

Also, after reviewing the doctor's online, it appears that hardly any doctor at Bon Secours St Marys accepts United. I'd shop for a different hospital if you have the bad luck to be covered by United Healthcare.

Call me stupid, but I would really like to have life insurance before I embark on the cancer journey - just in case things don't go my way. If I obtained one of the no exam, online policies which claim coverage is immediate and I didn't unfortunately die from cancer in the near future, would they pay upon my death? This is really bothering me so could someone please tell me their story...thanks!
