First day of every month. And if you are lucky like I have been you will receive a cheque(s) usually on the 15th of the month. I purchased bonds that went into the draw the 1st november 06 and I have won cash every draw since then. Just waiting for the biggun If you know what I mean. If you have bonds stick with it and good luck.

No, Premium Bonds are worth £1, and they used to be sold one pound at a time. These days you are required to buy them in blocks of £100, but that gets you 100 entries into the draw. Each ticket has an equal chance of winning and you can own up to 30,000 of them. The odds of winning the jackpot is around 19 billion to one (worse than a lottery, but you do keep your 'ticket' if you lose). The odds of winning any prize in any given month is about one in 24,000.
