Aetna insurance sent me a denial on my daughters claims because she is not in school . I explained to them she is waiting to get into an LPN class at the vocational school . I also told them that the State of Tennessee mandated benefits for dependants states that all dependents are covered until the age of 23 or until the age of 25 if attending school full time. Their response was that according to the contract that my husband's employer has the state mandate does not apply.

my house burnt to the ground a week and a half ago, I was out of town and we lost everything we owned except some clothing. The fire marshal came out that night and told me that it was suspicious but the cause would probably never be determined. When I went in to see the insurance company they treated me like some kind of criminal, here I am having lost everything that I own. By the time I left I was just beside myself, they wanted to dig into every aspect of my life, they wanted me to go to the gambling boat and get a print out of how much money I have spent there. And they just kept saying, do you see why this doesn't look good for you!!! Can they make me do things like that? They twisted around everything I said, THEN to top it off, he said that it would take a while to settle my claim becuase it was suspicious, when asked how long, he said, " well it just depends on how much you turn in" Like if I don't turn in all my personal property they will pay the claim!!

I think my neighbors daughter and and her husband committed insurance fraud with a truck they say got stolen. The daughter says it was the husband, but I suspect both took part because they have money problems. My neighbor, of course, thinks it was just the husband, even though her daughter has been nothing but trouble. I know their last name but not their insurance company. It just makes me mad because they just got 16000.00 bucks. Oh, and the husbands mother also knew.

I am taking out some new life insurance and have come across a new idea of taking the inurance out under a Pensions type arrangement. It is limited to 25 years and you dont get anything back, unless I die! It does however allow you to claim tax relief - seems too good to be true - anyone know of any downsides?

s it true that in the state of Califonia that an employer can not deny health benefits to an employee because they have a pre-existing condition?

I was told by my husband's HR gal, (They don't have a department), that Blue Cross would not cover his pre-existing condition even if he signed up through his employer's health plan/contract.

Then I was told by someone else that he can get benefits, but that Blue Cross might raise the employer's contracted premium if someone comes on board with a pre-existing condition and this is why they are discouraging him from signing up.

Bleh! I can't get a straight answer from these people and I don't know who to call.

Labor Commissioner is for pay related issues only, not health benefits.

My current insurance company is allstate. I have a 2005 TL with significant damages. The repair estimate came out to be $18,000. The value of the car is about $30,000. The front frame rails must be replaced and have to basically replace everything in the hood except the engine and trans. I don't feel safe driving around a car with those damages. I know repairs won't put it to original condition. Even the collision center recommends not to repair the car. Not only that, I am obligated to disclose this info when i decide to sell this car. I am also the not at fault driver of the accident. The other party has Mercury insurance. I want my insurance company to declare it a total loss. What can I do?

I was involved in an accident in which I struck a vehicle in the rear on 11/15/2004. It was not a bad collision and I was starting to walk-up to ask the driver of the other vehicle if he was okay, when a car rear-ended me and then two more cars hit that vehicle pushing my jeep under the vehicle which I had hit causing severe damage in excess of $3500. My insurnce payed the driver I hit, but I have not received a dime from farmers insurance. I placed a call to the insured vehicle that strcuk me and they told me to use my insurance company to hash-out all the details and to collect funds for repair my vehicle. I told this to my insurance agent (Progressive) and they said they would do that but I didn't have full coverage so that will not happen, I need to deal with the other partie's insurance companies. I have no Idea where to go from here. If I had the money, I would get a lawyer and I am sure that I would have this resolved right now. Does anyone have an idea for me?

I have a lump above my collarbone, about the size of a walnut above my collarbone, and My doctor told me there is a one in five chance that it could be lymphoma cancer. I have an appointment on Monday with a surgeon to take a closer look at it, and give me another diagnosis.
I am in my early twenties, and I was foolish enough to think that I could put off getting a health insurance plan for a little longer. Is there anyway I can still get a health insurance plan that I can afford.I make less then 1000 dollars a month.
Any info would be much appreciated.

My friend and I are aged 48 and 55 and remortgaging our house. I have heard bad reports on endowments. What kind of insurance should we take out and could it include life insurance? We will be paying interest only for two years to get back on our feet having consolidated other debts. We hope to upgrade house in next couple of years, and I know in Scotland (Highlands) prices are going up, so although our house will be worth a lot when one of us retires, how do we make sure that a) in the event of death, the mortgage will get cleared and provide a capital sum? Sorry for sounding vague, but I know nothing except we have to be insured.
Oh and thanks!
