Start by making some phone calls to your local independent insurance agencies. Some will do Worker's Comp, some won't.
They will interview you about your business and wether you need WC coverage or not. If this is the first time your company has bought WC, you may not be eligible for the best premium. Once your company has a few years with no or minor losses, you will be be eligible for a better "mod" or a discount on what the state says your rate must be. Your only choice initially might be the WC "pool" provided by your state. A sort of catch all place for high risk or no experience insured. Good luck.

The same way you would get any other type of insurance. Just start calling companies that you are interested in and ask if they ins small businesses such as yours and get quotes and compare etc.

assuming that you have an agent for your business insurance call him. Surprise me that he handles your insurance and have never mentioned the need of WC. If you don't have any insurance at all in your business, then check with your lawyer and accountant ab out what you need and call an in surance agent.

Hopefully youhave other insurance as well: auto, general liability, property, etc. The same source from where you got those, can help you with workers compensation.
