He passed a month ago, he worked all over the western US in the last 10 years and I don't know if he has any life insurance policies, possibly through employers, that are still in force that we can collect on? Even a small amount would help.

I know all plans differ, and each plan differs per what you sign up for, but is there a scenario where a life insurance policy will still be paid by the insurer in the event of a suicide on the part of the insured individual? Or is that just a circumstance that all insurance agencies exclude?

I found a parcel of land I wanted to buy and it happened to be in the flood plain zone. I contacted local Allstate agent and asked for insurance premium quote which he said is roughly $500. As closing time came it turned out I need to do flood check, flood survey (pay), and finally real qoute annual premium happened to be $2,000 per year. 4 times more than I expected. I had asked the agent 2 months ago for the insurance premium qoute and had given me the number $500, it turns out as he said it was a "rough" quote and not real quote so it varied...varied by 300%. By this time I had paid the earnest money, appraisal fees, inspection, etc, total over $5,000.
Because of such premium I dicided not to buy the land and when backed out obviously seller kept my earnest money deposit and in the end I lost $5,000. I contacted agent and stated the problem and told him that I made the decision to buy the land based on his quoted prem of $500 but he said he is not respposible. Can I sue for 5K?

I began working for my current employer 14 months ago. After four months I approached the human resource director and questioned him on the medical insurance I was told I would receive upon hire. At that time I had received no enrollment forms or waivers. I was told that I was outside my ninety days and that i would have to wait for open enrollment, consequently leaving me uninsured. In August of this year I had a major heart attack resulting in a $30,000 bill. Was my employer negligent according to the law, in not delivering the appropriate enrollment information in a timely manor?

Hello, I am 21 years old and currently under my dad's company insurance through Blue Cross as a full time student. The policy is that they will cover me if I remain a full time student.

However, a few months ago I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE and I have been hospitalized twice. My doctors suggest that I take a few quarters off of school, but if I don't recover rapidly I may have to take up to a year or so. During this time, will my insurance cover me? It would not make sense if they don't cover me because the only reason I can't go to school is because I got sick. For blue cross, are there any steps do I need to take to make sure I am covered during the time that I am not going to school?

In Singapore, I brought a AIA medishield. 7 weeks ago i was hospitalised. After government grant deduction, my payable bill is less than $600. I want to claim the medishield insurance. It sent me letter saying that my claim is approved but the amount is less than minimum $2000 payable and so it cannot pay the amount for me. I could not find my hard copy policy contract that stated that. What can i do to verify? Who should i approach?

My vehicle, while parked, was hit by a neighbor's car. The insurance company found them to 100% at fault.

They have a $500 deductible - will they have to pay $500 towards my vehicle's repairs, or is it completely paid by liability insurance?

Just curious, because I think these people are going to flip out when they see the body shop bill!
