Office has been open for 7 years, most marketing has been newspaper, word of mouth programs, some yellow page that was not productive. Staff is one doctor, one office manager. Town population 20,000, also 7 other chiropractors. There are no major retailers (Wal*Mart store has wiped them out locally).

Is it ok to have multiple subdomain names?

Let's say that I have a website called www.vehicles.com

Would it be ok to have

www.cars.vehicles.com
www.buses.vehicles.com
www.bikes.vehicles.com
www.trucks.vehicles.com

and so on?

They would all have different content. Would search engines see them as completely different websites or would they see them as related to each other?

Hi there.

First off, I just want to confess that I'm relatively new to SEO and page ranking.

I'm planning to open up a website and want to get it into the first page of search engines (yahoo, google) and want to know if having a - (dash) as in example www.happy-dog.com will affect my page ranking?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is which domain is better?

www.happydog.com?

or

www.happy-dog.com?

The overwhelming majority of my revenue comes through PPP, the ads aren't doing anything, and when I used Adwords to host my own ads, they were effective, but consumers weren't buying anything so I 86 the campaign. When I do have multimedia content it comes from somewhere else. Is the idea of promoting your blog through advertising for free a farce, or am I not looking in the right places?

I'm looking to make a little extra income. My wife is unemployed, I have two children and a stand-still job. If this method can bring me $300 - $500 more per month I would consider investing in affiliate marketing. If the majority of these claims are scams, please let me know or if you know how to produce the results as advertised please send me a link with a guide or a recommended site to read. I am a writer and for a hobby, come up with domain names I think would be appealing to businesses. As a little experiment I bought about six available domain names for $10 each. I just got an offer from someone who saw one of the names parked on my domain dealer's website so the offer would be binding. I got a market appraisal of the name that was 4X higher than the offer.
