I'm looking to make a little extra income. My wife is unemployed, I have two children and a stand-still job. If this method can bring me $300 - $500 more per month I would consider investing in affiliate marketing. If the majority of these claims are scams, please let me know or if you know how to produce the results as advertised please send me a link with a guide or a recommended site to read. Thanks in advance!!! One last thing, if this method is completely false please enlighten me with something else that may help. Thanks again!

If you want to promote a affilite link online, you need to establish a website first. Here is a guide to properly getting your site going - http://www.richkahmer.com/build-a-website.html
Once you have a quality site with decent traffic you can push a product on there. CJ.com is pretty good if you get a lot of traffic. (they will cancel your account if you don't produce enough traffic)

Affiliate Marketing "can" make you an extra $300 - $500 a month. Be careful and don't fall into the "get-rich-quick" mentality.

Do your research and investigate fully.

A good ebook to read and it's free is linked below:

I'm working on an ebook right now as I have developed a program that can produce a monthly income using a free affiliate program along with free resources. It works and it costs me nothing to implement, yet I earn $$$ on a daily basis. Plus, I mentor everyone involved. Email me if you want a copy of this ebook.

Hey Buddy, I've been in your shoes before when I first got interested or at least found out about this Affiliate Marketing. Yes! It is true that there are many scams out there...and I've been scammed before. Basically it depends on what you classified as scam. Just hear me out for a moment. If a scam is if you're worried you will not get paid then you should get affiliate links from affiliate authority sites like clickbank.com or cj.com which are great resources where I make a 5 figure decent income from. I just happen to finish writing a how to book on affiliate marketing, if you're interested drop me a mail at affiliatecoach at gmail.com

If you are referring to the programs offered on web sites for "affiliate" yes you can make good money from some of them.
I have a web store and get $$ from a couple of programs. You add their link to your website and receive a percentage of $$ from customers who purchase their goods and services through that link.
Some pay 10% of the sales ..
Other then this I don't know what you're referring to.... selling these programs to potential buyers?
Don't know if this helps.

Yes there are tons of scams, but there are also great ebooks that get bad publicity because of the people just out to steal your money. Check out
