Is it ok to have multiple subdomain names?

Let's say that I have a website called www.vehicles.com

Would it be ok to have

www.cars.vehicles.com
www.buses.vehicles.com
www.bikes.vehicles.com
www.trucks.vehicles.com

and so on?

They would all have different content. Would search engines see them as completely different websites or would they see them as related to each other?

Search engines consider sub domains to be independent websites. Complete detail can be found here

although it is a little bit outdated but it is a fact.

Is it ok to have multiple subdomain names?

No problem but the search engines will see them as completely different websites.

This means that each "site" will need its own marketing and its own SEO. Also incoming links will have to be divided between the sites and most Quality Directories will not list subdomains. Lastly it can be confusing for users as they navigate.

It is normally better to have directories like this...

www.vehicles.com/cars
www.vehicles.com/buses
etc.

No not count as a spam.

Bcoz give urls:
www.cars.vehicles.com
www.buses.vehicles.com
www.bikes.vehicles.com
www.trucks.vehicles.com

Are count as a separate domain for the site. Bcoz subdomains are treated as a separate domain.
