Office has been open for 7 years, most marketing has been newspaper, word of mouth programs, some yellow page that was not productive. Staff is one doctor, one office manager. Town population 20,000, also 7 other chiropractors. There are no major retailers (Wal*Mart store has wiped them out locally).

Advertising is part of the marketing strategy. It is not supposed to be the marketing strategy itself. And it seems that you have just been advertising (with the exception of the word of mouth programs - kudos!). As a pr and marketing professional for small businesses, I rarely recommend spending much money on yellow pages. Most people do not choose a doctor based on an ad in the yellow pages - a pizza maybe, but not a doctor.

If you type in "sample marketing plan" into Google, you should find quite a few samples that should at least tell you what components should be in your marketing plan.

One of the first things I would recommend for you is a website and an e-newsletter (or ezine). This is really the best way to stay in front of your current patients, and get very cheap exposure to potential patients. Keep in mind that people buy from those they know, like and trust. You need to develop that relationship with your potential clients, and maintain it with your current clients. This is the best and most cost efficient way to do that. Be careful of anyone trying to sell you a template created website or a website that has lots of fancy bells and whistles. Your website should be designed to drive your customer to action - for instance, to get people to sign up for your newsletter.

There's no need to dump a lot of money into a marketing campaign - be smart.

You might consider a direct mail program, using a post card. Of course you need to offer a discount or some other "special." I sold Yellow Page ads in towns of your size for 25 years. I still think that YP ads are the best way to go because when someone is in pain, they'll go to the Yellow Pages. I had many chiropractic accounts. I detail all the tips and secrets in my book, "Inside the Yellow Pages," available at amazon.com.
Good luck.

Hi
You need to contact users directly that is through email or mail. For this you need contact details of potential customers. If you already know a directory or site having these data, website like http://www.data2market.com shall help yo to extract those sales leads / customer contacts for you.

If you don't know where to get contact details / sales leads / email listing or mailing list try here : http://www.data2market.com/find-data.php

How about a special radar gun for measuring the speed of a ball, that could be used at amateur games? If you did it for soccer, there will be lots of info around over the next month with the world cup going on
