I just had to quit my job unexpectedly. I want to cash my 401K in so I can pay my rent! This acct is from a previous job I had a few years ago. It has about $4000 in it. I am not sure what the penalties and guidelines are for a hardship loan/withdrawl? I need the $ quickly.

Sort of a strange question I guess. I already have a house that I live in. I want to buy another house, as an investment. I don't want to pay very much monthly at all. (interest only?). I have excellent credit. Would it be bette rto try to buy a building (3 flat or duplex) and have the tenants make the payments? (provided I have tenants). Ideally I'd buy another house that I can move into now and keep my current house till the market gets better for sellers. ok, long winded I know. Any suggestions on how to do this with no money down?

I received a feedback on earlier question that I'd like to know more of:
"Increased awareness of financial crimes such as embezzlement, bribery, and securities fraud will increase the demand for forensic accountants, to detect illegal financial activity by individuals, companies, and organized crime rings. Computer technology has made these crimes easier to commit, and they are on the rise. At the same time, the development of new computer software and electronic surveillance technology has made tracking down financial criminals easier, thus increasing the ease with which, and likelihood that, forensic accountants will discover their crimes. As success rates of investigations grow, demand also will grow for forensic accountants. "

My requests:
Can you give me example of how these crimes are consumated and the methods used to trace them currently?

Are they also carried out through internet? If so, how are they discovered and monitored? Thank you.

In early JUNE I had a good friend of mine order a couple Airsoft guns for me through his PayPal account from a small company in WA called M4Airsoft. The guy gave me a pretty good deal on a couple guns, one for me, one for my son. The one he does not normally carry but was able to get one just for me. After a series on e-mails I was asked on the 6th of JULY if I had received the M4 for me (the other was backordered and would be sent later) The owner was taking a trip to China from 7/8/2007-7/22/2007. He last contacted me on 7/6/2007. I have emailed him, called him and even asked he call me. NOTHING! I noticed on his MySpace page he last logged in on 20 JUNE but I continue to hear nothing and receive same. I can understand if everything was backordered but I should at least hear from him right?

Yes, it was paid for. No, my buddy didn't get it.

What can I do?

I was asked by a on line friend to forward some monies onto them from her Aunt. Her Aunt could not do this as she was out of the country. Monies was credited to my account via bank transfer and I checked that this money was available. I duly sent this money on. 4 days after this my account was frozen as they suspected fraud.

I have supplied documents to this effect but the bank refuses to un freeze the account. Where do I stand if this was a fraudulent transfer seeing that the monies have been sent on.
