Got my first credit card the other day and was wondering whether to cancel it.

I'm turning 17 this month, and my mother is making me break down....she reads all my information on my computer, takes my webcam that I paid for away, 2 times. What a stupid, noisy b*tch....she tells my information to my granny, which I told her not to. Looks up my boyfriends house online to find out how much it's worth and about the taxes. We have a long distance 4 year relationship....she broke up my other boyfriends and I that lived here by being noisy and reading my email. I'm going to work as a nurse's aide this summer full time at a hospital. it makes 11-12 dollars an hour. i want to buy my very own car and be ready to move out in a year. My boyfriend lives in Fl, so we are moving down there. He makes a lot of money in his own business so he said he would pay for everything while I went to college..about 800 a day..could we make it on our own? I mean, could I make it on my own without him?

I filled my return with TurboTax & it says that my federal taxes have been rejected because my birthdate is wrong with the social security administration! Is there any way that TurboTax itself is wrong? I've had the same Social Security card forever and I'm pretty sure I know my own birthday.

There doesn't seem to be a way around all this with the TurboTax other then to "correct" the error, which just means changing my birth date to something false.

Please Help!!! What do I do?

I filed my taxes with my wife but we didn't realized that she worked last year. Now we have her W-2 but I have already filed and recieved my refund. Can I file it still for this year or do I have to wait til next year to do it?

If someone has held a job for more than 3 years, but has a bad credit history (hospital bills, a credit card bill from the past, one accidental bad check from 4 years ago, and a utility bill owed), does this disqualify the person from being eligible for the USDA Rural Development Loan program?

My parents bank account was closed today by the bank (not saying any names) ..::cough:: Bank of America ..::cough::..

They closed it without warning and kept my parents and my college funds with them (67k +)

My parents called the IRS to make sure everything was fine, and no problems there.

My mom went to the bank to ask why her account was closed but no answes were given to her but instead she was kicked out by security.

Is there anyway we can find out what happened?

I've been working at a video store in my hometown for about 10 months now and am not even getting paid minimum wage, despite the required increase for all U.S. employees starting this year. I get paid $5.00 an hour...but taxes are not taken out. Is is illegal getting paid "under the table" and is it wrong for my boss to not boost my pay? All her employees get paid the same. Even this one girl who has worked there for over 20 years. A raise is out of the question...you don't know my boss. It's a waste of my time just THINKING about asking her. What should I do? I've been looking for another job, but a lot of places have been letting people go since Christmas is over!

I work for a small family owned bussiness and my employer has not ever taken taxes out of my checks. She told me in the begging that she would start to take taxes out after 3 months of working there but she never got around to it. I just assumed that I was being payed "under the table". Now she is telling me that she is claiming me and giving me a W9 form to fill out. She told me that I don't have to file and the IRS won't come after we because I'm a "small fish". My question is doesn't she have to pay into my social security fund??? And isn't a W9 suppossed to be filled out at the start of your employment so that the worker knows to set taxes aside. I know that it is against the law not to claim that I worked but it is going to screw me. So no answers saying that it is illegal. I just want to know what my boss is doing wrong so that I can convince her to not claim me. I don't have the money to pay the taxes I didn't think that I had to pay.
