I filled my return with TurboTax & it says that my federal taxes have been rejected because my birthdate is wrong with the social security administration! Is there any way that TurboTax itself is wrong? I've had the same Social Security card forever and I'm pretty sure I know my own birthday.

There doesn't seem to be a way around all this with the TurboTax other then to "correct" the error, which just means changing my birth date to something false.

Please Help!!! What do I do?

That means that SS has your wrong DOB in their records. Your local SS office can correct that. Bring your SS card, proof of ID and your birth certificate with you.

It has nothing to do with TurboTax. It is not a software error.

YOU Have the error. It can only be corrected at the Social Security Administration if it is wrong. Then allow 2 weeks for SSA to send the data to IRS.

If you can view your return even after you sent it then you can find out. There should be a place on it where it allows you to print a copy or save a copy on your computer. just go thru the steps as if you were filing, nothing gets resent until you hit that button so you can erase. At least you will know for sure, if you make a mistake inputting or not. Otherwise take your birth certificate down and show them or send it by email, call the office first for that. It may also warrant a look at your credit history to see if someone is using your info.
good luck
