Last year I took out a loan for a four figure sum and although it had a 3 month payment holiday they still haven't charged me anything nearly a year later. Has anyone else in the UK had a similar experience and am I likely to get away with it?

I went for a job interview yesterday for a company my mum works for. It was for a job that I am well qualified to do & have had plenty of previous experience. The interview was conducted really badly, they told me all about the company & the job itself, they then asked me if I had any questions that I wished to ask. They asked me to fill out a simple test, which was basically to show if I could cash up a till. They left me to fill this out & said they would return in 15 minutes. 5 minutes later they came back & said 'When you've finished that just bring it to reception'. They didn't ask me one single question! Nothing at all about myself, previous experience or anything that I had written on my application form! They've just been in touch to say I haven't got the job and to be honest, I'm not surprised. I feel like they only interviewed me because my mum worked there. I'm not annoyed that I didn't get the job, I'm annoyed that they obviously wasted my time. Should I complain?

How much would it hurt... a few points? I want to take care of bonus mileage offers that come with new cards, but wonder if changing cards every year or two would hurt my credit rating.

Recently the transmission went out in my husbands truck and the price to fix it is more than the truck is worth. We decided it's time to buy a new truck, but I'm concerned that we don't have the credit to finance a $20k truck. I have financed a car before and all of my payments were made on time, and the car is now paid off. I pay all my credit cards (3) off every month, on time. We did have a large amount of debt, but we took out a loan (with a co-signer) to consolidate our debt. What are the chances with I could take out a $20k auto loan with this credit score?

I am going to apply for nursing school this fall at a local community college. I know that I am going to have to take refreshing courses this summer because I have been out of school since 1998. I am very nerous about the whole experience since I always hated school. I know that I will have to pass the NET before being accepted to the school. I was wondering if anyone can give me information about things that I can start studing for now. Things that will help me with the NET and also classes. I also was wondering if you think it would be better (easier) to take the required CNA1 class and then get my LPN and work for awhile or go straight for the associates degree to become a RN? I know in my area there is a big difference in pay ($10-$15hr.) but I am worry about the class work load. I need to also be able to work a part time job. Any advise would be helpful! (P.S. I have already talked to someone at the college and they really did guide me very well about what to do.)
Thanks

money to begin with? The things they suggest cutting out or saving on are things I don't have to begin with. They suggest cutting off your premium cable service, exercising at home instead of a gym membership, hand washing instead of dry cleaning, and so on. None of these tips help me at all. Why doesn't someone come up with some tips for people who don't have enough income to cover their monthly expenses? Like how can I cut my 75 dollar electric bill when I live in an apartment where the heating and cooling units are old, or how can I cut my 20 dollar a week grocery budget down? I can't cut down on entertainment because I never go anywhere to begin with. Where are the savings tips for poor people??

I found the perfect all- brick townhome in north florida. The price is right; the community is developing; the schools are okay - everything is perfect, except for the condo fees!

Right now, there is a $200 fee; however, I have been told that the fees could get as high as $400 a month, an amount that I could not afford with the mortgage!

I need to know what can I do to combat the HOA fees?

Secondly, can I purchase a townhouse, where I can PAY my own taxes, and cover the maintenance myself?

FMLA states an emploee must notify the company of their need for FMLA within 2 "working" days of their absence. I have an employee that missed a Friday. He was then laid-off for 1 week. Is he required to notify the company within two days of his return to work, or the 2nd business day (while he was laid-off)........?

This will vary depending of where you live, but my definition of a "living wage" is an income that can pay for the basics. Not having to decide to eat or pay rent. That means a modest but clean and functioning apartment or house, making dinner rather than eating out a lot. Also being able to afford a decent, but not expensive vehicle that get's a person to and from work without being in the repair shop all the time. Being able to at least buy a new outfit for an interview at Wal-Mart, not nessicarily Macy's (unless they have a good sale) I would say in Indiana, a living wage for a one to two person household is 10-12 an hour. Mandated minimum wage is 5.15 and most employers pay around 7 just to get people to take the job. What about your area?

he was off work for 1 year after extensive brain surgery and when he returned to work I informed the IR on his behalf. He was already
3K in overpayments for 03/04 but they have continued to pay working tax credit into his pay for 04/05 and 05/06 which has led to
the 10K debt. Today I received a threating phone call from the IR
dictating to me that they have forwarded me on to the debt collections dept and I will be getting a visitor and if I dont agree to
pay the debt I will be taken to court! This was my husbands debt
am I liable for it? the IR officer dictated that I was. I'm absolutely devastated by his coarseness and total lack of compassion. I am wrought with worry as I didn't have access to my husbands wage slips and he was not of sound mind during his last months before his death. please can anyone give me some sound advice... before I have a breakdown, I have just got through a course of councilling and this has put me back and distressed me further. thank you so much.

Does anybody on here know anything about being a paralegal, I am taking a course and I really want to know if it is the right choice for me. My question is to someone that is a paralegal or someone that is closely knows a paralegal. Is this a great career choice, meaning pay wise and happiness wise.

P.S. I do love law!
