There is no standard answer you can provide to it. However there are some general guidelines you can follow....

Start by giving out your positive traits, but don't make it a long story. They just don't have that much time. Then if you have a really weak point, try to put it in a way that sounds more like a positive point.

If you have certain special qualities/qualifications that would be or could be useful to your applied for job, make sure to highlight it appropriately.

And important point is that you should not be nervous while sitting there. Everything could go down the drain if you are.

BTW it'd help you answer this question if you knew what is that they are looking for in filling their job opening and about the company itself.

Good luck.

Tell them all your good qualities, such as how well you work with others, how you enjoy having a list of work to do and get it done quickly and get it checked off your list, that you're quick and eager to learn new things, how good it makes you feel to give excellent customer service... you get the idea..=).... now think of some more with the qualities you have for that specific job! Good luck!

Just tell about your education, exoerience and ambition or vision in less than a minute or 2. If you are smart, you can further take the conversation to the level that you are the best candidate for the job.

You should give them a short history of your life and tell them about yourself.... For example, tell them the following when they ask you 'tell me about yourself': where you were born, where you grew-up, what high school you graduated from (and the city), what you are currently doing (in regard to education, if any, or what you have accomplished in regard to education), what your interest are, what your hobbies are, etc....... This, according to my past experience (and what I have heard from interview experts), is the BEST answer to the question: "Tell me about yourself".......... Hope this helps, Take care, JME

This is the most common question anybody will find in an interview,
Here you will have to tackle the interviewer very smartly.

The question should be answeres like this ( If you are a family of 4 )...................WE ARE A FAMILY OF 4, MY DAD IS WORKING WITH A PRIVATE COMPANY AS AN ENGINEER , MOM IS A HOMEMAKER AND YOUNGER SISTER IS STUDYING LAW.
I COMPLETED MY M.B.A. ..............AND GO ON...................
( Change the story according to your family. )

"I was born in a cabin , way back in the woods. I was so ragged that folks used to call me "Patches"". (It's from a 60's song--I couldn't resist). Seriously, tell them about your school accomplishments, any community involvement (church activities count), goals that you have as a person personally AND ESPECIALLY career-wise. Where do you REALISTICALLY see yourself in 5-10 yrs.? Tell the potential employer about it. Don't try to impress-- that won't get it for you. Honesty works everytime, and employers will love you for it.

Keep it short, under two minutes. Tell them about your schooling, qualifications, and any other thing that makes you stand out in terms of that position. Also talk about qualities you posses that make you an excellent candidate.

Write this out ahead of time and memorize it

Do not tell your life story! A good answer would include the highlights which are connected to the position you are seeking.
Good luck!
