My boss seems very nice by giving me reasonable work load and he is a soft type. I have some peers in my level and below my level who reports directly to him. I do not want to play office politic but i wish to prevent from being a victim.
I heard a lot of peole playing it.

My boss has also some peers the same and above his level. Our president director seems very commandable and he likes to know everything. Everyone should entertain him.

Please advise. Thank you!

for 05-06 I filed return (saral form) in which my employer had deducted more income tax. I have not received it back yet although I have given bank details in the return.

Do I need to file any other form to get the income tax refund ?

How can I track it ?

And I'm looking for the right business for me. But everytime I find something that might be interesting and I show my husband, he always looks at the negative. For instance, I found a laundrymat for sale for a good price. Now there are certain things in business that you will have to deal with, but he goes into, "what if there is a flood or one of the machines breaksdown?" Now I know that things could happen, but I try to approach it from "Well, what if these things happen, how can we deal with it and/or can we deal with it?" meaning, if there is a problem, what solutions can we come up with.

I can't seem to get him to understand where I'm coming from. He accuses me of just wanting to jump into any business without asking questions and I keep trying to tell him that I'm approaching my investigation with "CAn I work this out and if I can, how would I go about doing it?"

Can anyone help with getting him to understand??

I recemtly started investing in Shares, my decisions are based on TV Analysis and co- worker suggestion. However i am skeptical about it. I do not feel contented about the way i invest my money . I have a few questions.
1, What determines the value of a stock. ( I think it's demand ,and financial performance of the company does not really matter ...Is that true.. )

2, Past Super mega performnace of a stock does not gurantee a level of security for the futur yeilds. How can we decide wether to invest in such stocks.

3, Are the TV guys really reliable. Becoz a lot of mnipulation can be done if the demand of a stock is huge ( I mean the dirty game )

I'm the only female in my department and I like it that way. I don't have to deal with cattiness or drama. I do my job well and I'm a little apprehensive about a new female coming into the office. I can't help but feel a little threatened- almost a little territorial. I'm a great employee and have always felt confident in my work. I don't know why I feel this way. Is this normal?

I started a business 6 years ago and didnt do much bookkeeping then. I used an inheritance for funding but, according to my new office manager, apparently never made any real profit - just spent the inheritance. I closed in 2006 with no revenue and lots of expenses. I still have expenses related to the business. Now I have a full time employee job and taxes withheld. With good records and real expenses, can my business loss offset my current tax liability if I show no income or losses for the prior 5 years?

let say ur a bank n u loan joe $600k to buy a house at 5% interest. joe pays u interest+principle over 30yrs. how can u still make $$ if joe only pays u back, say, $1000 a mo. when ur alrdy out $600k up front. in addition, ur lending more $$$ to other ppl as well n they, like joe, r only paying u fractions of what they owe over the course of 30yrs. u hv to be a gazillionaire to do this kind of biz. i just don't understand how banks (or credit card co.) make $$$ by doing this.

My brother-in-law got paid today (2007) for his last week he worked in December of 2006. His employer put on his paytub something about end of year (2006) earnings. Which included this paycheck he got today. If this is suppose to be for 2007, where can I read (forum, website, etc) Anywhere I can print out proof that it should not reflect the 2006 year but reflect the 2007 year. Someone please help me as soon as possible. Thank you.

Worked under 1099. The first pay check was manual check from the company I worked for, and the rest from the company's payroll company. I'm trying to computer my 2006 estimated tax to send it out before 1/16/07 deadline.
My problem is on the final paycheck stub, the payroll company did NOT include the amount I was paid for by the manual check, and I was told by the company I worked for that I can just use the number on my final paycheck stub to figure out my Estimated Tax.
This number does not include the 1st pay, manual check.

I think the payroll company probably has reported IRS whatever the number was on my final paycheck stub which doesn't include the amount on the manual check.

What do I do? Do I use the number on the final paycheck stub OR
add the amount of manual check to the number to figure out my 2006 estimated tax?
