This is a question like how to understand the B1 shares in India?

What is there to understand?

It is a group of stocks that trade in an auction like manner. There are more than 3000 to 5000 shares. All of those have been combined into an Index call NDX. NDX Trades in the futures market and can be bought and sold.

Also, the top 100 Nasdaq stocks are considered the cream of the crop. These can be traded as a single stock called QQQQ. The cubes in short since at one time it's symbol was QQQ. There are a lot of other ones that also do the same thing.

So, there you have it.
