Long story short. I have a house in Calif. that was to be shared with a real estate partner. The loan is in my name, but after some shady actions (not by me), I believe the title is now solely in his name. If I were to simply walk away from the house, would the credit agencies go after me or him? He also owns another house in Calif. Would they put a lien on his home?

For quite awhile, I have noticed odd discrepancies between the Prev Close shown on charts (such as Technical Analysis) and what a stock actually closed at on the prior trading day. This appears to be somewhat random, though at one point I thought it had to do with wrongly using "Adj Close" for "Prev Close", when dividends have occured.

Today, I notice DML.to (which has had no dividend) is showing "Prev Close" = "Last Trade". The Close yesterday was actually C$12.25.

What does this closing statement mean exactly?

"It WAS your money... but it's gone!"

How exactly will honest people suffer for their mistake?

Tax question—

My client donated a boat on August 1, 2003. He received an appraisal on the boat 1 week before for 395,000. After donating the property the charity sold the boat for 135,000 on August 8, 2003. IRS has disapproved the 395,000 and says the deduction can only be 135,000 and want 100,000 right away. Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

We have been lied to through our "buyer" agent for the umpteenth time. I won't list all the problems, I'll get straight to the question. We're ready to put an offer on a home that he showed us and lied to us about various things. We are extremely uncomfortable working with him. We have an exclusive agreement with him. We want to offer on the home. Is there another way to do this without working with him? Through his broker perhaps? If this deal doesn't go through, how do I break my contract with him. He said before I signed it he would break it if we were unhappy at anytime. This would be the 2nd house we are putting an offer on, so he KNOWS we're serious buyers and looking to buy. We also have a decent amount of money to spend, so it's a nice sale for him. Should I have never shown him my pre-approval letter? I thought he was working for me, but he only cares about his commision and it isn't for our best interest. Any advice is beyond welcome. This is pretty time sensitive.

I applied for unemployment with a claim on Nov. 21. I received a statement in the mail last week saying that I was ineligible in this state since I worked in Chicago, but they gave a WBA and an MBA for IIllinois instead. I went to the office in my state and filed an interstate form, so now do I have to wait another whole month before they begin to disburse any payments, or do the count the weeks I was waiting beforehand, as I put down the job I had in Chicago the first time, so it was obvious I wanted benefits from that job, not from a job in my home state.

I'm looking for some advice from people who have set up a business or have knowledge of setting up a business. How do you find an idea for a business? Is it an easy thing to do? Do you have to be creative to be an entrepeneur? I know that a few tips are to research, but what do you research and where? Any help will be great.

I found a house I like while browsing. I had no plans to buy but now I am thinking about it. I have good credit and job history but no savings really. So I would need to do a 100% financed loan; what would I then need to pay for out of pocket?
Thanks for helping...

When I came to this job I couldnt believe Id got it, the money is amazing and because I work for the MD of the company I seem to have a lot of power in my role here.
But the stress is unbelievable and as much as I love the money, Ive been thinking recently would I rather go back to a lower paid, less pressurised job.
Should I stick it out and see if I can overcome the stress / pressure issue or should I just go get a lower stressed and lower paid job?
