First off... i know about the scams... i'll never pay to work. THats just stupid.

However, is there any real opportunity out there? I love to type! I play Typer Shark all the time. 64WPM (Assigned) Between 70 and 75 WPM (Free Writing).

I'd love to make some extra dollars even just a few bucks on the side.... by typing something. :) Is there any opportunities out there for me at all??

I am contemplating shutting down my sole proprietorship and joining another company as a W2 employee.

Having my own business affords me some benefit in the form of deductions/expenses (i.e. I deduct a portion of our mortgage for home office, one of our cars, gas, insurance etc.)

In closing up shop and joining another company, is there a way that I can continue to take some of these deductions (a portion of mortgage, phone bill etc.)? Or does the fact that I no longer have my own formal company preclude me from such deductions when I file my income taxes?

I am a 16 year old highschool student with no credit card, bank account or anything of that manner. I will entering the "adult" world in a few years and I'd really like some tips on having great credit from more experienced individuals. What should my goals be? How can I keep and maintain good credit? What are some of the best choices in investing? Please tell me anything you can because a lot of this money saving information is very confusing when read on the internet, I'd like a more personal response from someone with experience. Thanx!

When I lived abroad I was able to buy a small bottle of Coca-Cola for the equivalent of $0.35 but it didn't quite taste like Coca-Cola back home. Neither did the M & Ms I bought or some of the other products produced by American companies abroad. I also noticed that there was less packaging for other products like Orbit gum or Bounty candy bars. Do they cut costs by offering a modified product in certain foreign markets? Seems to me that they may do so to stay competitive there since many people wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.

We are purchacing our first home and have ran into a situation. We looked for a loan through an online source and got over 20 replies. Our credit score was in the lower 600's and after narrowing it down to just 2 lenders we got two totally different answers about a loan. The first situation is a 5 yr ARM with no pp fees if we refinace with an intrest rate of 6.8. The other is a 30yr fixed with an intrest rate of 6.1. I am worried that the lower rate could be a "bait and switch" with the other lender being very upfront with our credit issues and DTI (52%). I guess the question is: Is the lower rate possible a bait and switch tactic or should I run with it?

For 5 years I would not need to touch this money, I'm wondering looking at mutual funds, stocks, Cds, Bonds, and more what would give me the best turn-over, considering also the safety of the investment. Which is why personally I lean far away from the Stock Market.

Lets say someone has a cash business or receives cash payments for services rendered. Do they just mark on their taxes that they receive extra cash, then they can put it in a bank or wherever; or is it more complicated than that? We are talking amounts in excess of $10,000.

I recently moved into a "Luxury Apartment" and signed a one year lease. I have had several maintence problems since I moved in and have had a very hard time getting the problems resolved. Recently my husband was given orders to deploy to Afghanistan and I want to move back home. More recently I have discovered that one of the apartment's maintence people came into my apartment while I was gone and looked up pornography. I no longer feel comfortable in my apartment and need to know if I have grounds to terminate my lease. I'm not sure if there are any state laws that help but I live in NC. Also, I did put the event in writing and filed a report.
