Let H&R Block take care of it all.
They will get you a good return, and their fee will come out of the return, so you pay nothing up front.
Sounds to me like you will get a hefty wad of $$$$.

For a taxpayer with 1 child you must make under $31,030 or $33,030 (MFJ).

Check out Publication 596 from the IRS.gov website. It has all the information you need to see if you qualify.
EIC only uses your earned income as the basis for figuring the EIC credit. Although depending on financial circumstances your AGI can change the EIC amount.

You can also use the EIC worksheets in your 1040 booklet to figure the credit. Or you can go to H & R Blocks website and use the Tax Estimator Calculator to figure your refund.

H & R Block is part of the Free File Alliance (IRS.gov) and you can file your federal return for free. It's really easy.

Yes, go to HR Block. The amount of Earned Income Credit will depend on how much you earn in W-2 wages. I don't have the exact numbers, but if you earn in the $30,000 area that is too much to qualify. To get EIC, you have to have a child that is your dependent and you have to have W-2 income.
