and why anyone would let you"borrow a security"to sell I know why the hedger does it cause he is expecting that it will decrease in value so that they can buy it back at a lower price and keep the difference.....but what is in it for the "lender" ..doesn't the fact that this guy wants to sell short tell you the price is going down ..why not sell it yourself....instead of letting him keep it until the price does go down and then give it back to you ..i know 10 stocks out , 10 back in...but the lenders porfolio is now worth less..what am i msissing here

I Have a CFP though AMX/Ameraprise and when I signed up with him 2 years ago there was a flat fee and that was that. He has been getting a % of each transaction since, which is fine by me.
Now I come to find out that he wants to start charging us for office visits. They will cost hundreds for each visit. Does anyone have a clue to why this is happening? I am not happy with this new news.

One guy proposed me a small deal. He said that I will receive a paycheck with my name on it. If I cash it and send him money via Western Union he will pay me some money. He said he is in UK and it is not possible for him to cash the check in the UK. Does anybody know if it is dangerous to agree for this deal or not? What are the possible consequences?

I pursued an advanced program during high school and graduated at sixteen (valedictorian). I'm currently seventeen and seeking a job. I will be attending university next year in California and need to start saving money for tuition. Optimally, I would like to earn $2000 a month. Since I’m a graduate and I’m seventeen; child labor laws do not apply to me. I'm willing to work up to 60 hours a week, as long as I can fulfill my goal. I am aware that employers have to provide pay and half once I surpass forty hours a week, so they maybe reluctant to hire me. However, if I do work sixty hours a week I could be paid $7.15 for the first forty hours and $10.73 for the subsequent twenty, which seems reasonable.
4 * (40X + 1.5(20X))=2000 70x=500 x=7.15 x=10.73
I don't know if I’m being foolishly optimistic because I’m not familiar with the American job market; I recently arrived from overseas. I live in eastern North Carolina and I was wondering if anyone could offer discerning advice.

For example, when you pay for something, the amount gets debited from your account within one business day (if not the same day), but if you return an item (or were mistakenly overcharged for a service provided), it can take up to three-five business days for that credit to be processed by the company.....

I have an apartment that I didnt pay a deposit and didnt pay for the first month. I thought I could handle the rent but now I know I cant. My rent is past due, I have no credit history except for my student loans for going to school. Im not sure what I should do because I want a cheaper apartment. Would it hurt me if I just left and if so could I find another apartment.?

Let's say that I buy a manufactured home for $35,000 and put it on 1 acre of land. When everything is said and done, what do you think the final price and monthly payment would be if I had it financed for 30 years? This is, of course, including builder fees, shipping of the home, land and what not.

I'm in Virginia if that's important.

(I have 1 year of making my auto loan payments on time and no previous credit history.)

1) Go to my bank and take out a CD for $2,000 that pays interest.

2)Get a secured loan for $1,000 against the CD and pay it off in a year on time.

3)Take $500 to a different bank and establish a security deposit account to qualify for a secured credit card.

4) Repeat this once more at a third bank.

5) Use both credit cards but never charge more than a maximum balance of 9% of the total credit card limit.

6) Pay the minimum payment on a bi-weekly basis by splitting the payment into half.

According to this FICO score estimator my resulting FICO score would be 735-785 in 1 year.

I've heard of something where you send a dollar to six different people, and eventually you get more and more money...does anybody do that, or have you done that? Please let me know...and if you know of a good site to go to for that, tell me.
