You have to contact the section 8 office and inform them of your tenant's infractions. They will have to contact the tenant.

You entered into a contract with section 8 AND the tenant. You can't just evict them. However they will be removed from the program and you should be paid if you go through them. They will also explain to you how to evict.

Don't take this one bad tenant out on all sec 8 tenants. Many really want better lives. Try to find one who has to pay a high portion of the rent. This means they are working and probably have other things to do than sit around your house messing it up all day.

Good LUCK!

You can download this form with many other at www.hud.gov. If you can not download it you can have one mailed to you by request at this site also. Section 8 is a federal program designed to help low income and eligible persons with paying their rents. But i don't think a form is needed to evict someone regardless of the type of program their on. The normal requirement is to give a tenant 30 days written notice to vacate, then at the end of the 30th day file for an eviction in court.. You as a home owner/ landlord can evict for any reason as long as proper notice is given. Just make sure you send the notice via registered mail to the proposed tenant you wish to evict. Find out your rights as a landlord at www.hud.gov

I'm not sure anyone else has a clue what you are talking about!!!

It's very unwise to complete your own section 8 notice unless you really know what your doing (not suggesting you don't!), this should be done through your solicitor as it is in a prescribed form and any slight errors (incorrect dates, etc) will mean the notice is invalid. It will cost you very little to get a solicitor to do this for you.

If you really want to do it yourself, a solicitor will be able to provide you with a blank form for about £10.00.

Don't forget that the Section 8 notice is only for use with rent arrears and you cannot legally serve it unless there are at least 2 months rent payments outstanding.

Have the case worker fax it to you or email if they have made it that far. Or snail mail as most government people have access. They will kick them out of the program also.
