Wait two days and ring.
Have an additional question, as it will give you a motive to make contact. Ring to ask something that wasn't fully covered in the interview. I.E:
* I was thinking further about the training program and was wondering if ....
* If I'm successful in getting the job (which I hope will be the case) do I need to bring any special equipment along
Or something similar to underpin that you have been giving the position further thought.
Then during the chat you'll get to ask if more people are yet to be interviewed for the position; and a timeline as to when the lucky candidate will be notified.

I would say wait for atleast two to three days and then call them again. But when you do call them don't sound too desperate and demanding, be as polite as you can.
My husband went thru the same thing as you, he was interviewed by two big bosses in this shipping company. He was toured around the vacinity of the company and before he left the place, the HR manager told him that they will hire him because they liked the way he brought himself during the interview and also because he had all the requirements they wanted and also they told him that they will call him two days after and they never did. So I told my husband to follow-up after the third day and only to find out that they changed their minds and all the talks and tours was just a lie. My husband really wanted the job.
Try calling them but pls. don't get your hopes up... Hope you get the job. =)

Send a thank you card to both individuals now. Thanking them for their time and for inviting you to the interview. Reiterate your interest in joining their team and willingness to address any additional questions they may have.
If the interview was yesterday, I'd give them a call by not this monday, but the one after. Give them a chance to sift through additional interviews and make a decision. Meanwhile, your card will have arrived, making a positive impression on both of them.

I'd call and ask...was I given the job?! I really am looking forward to learning all I need to do the best I can at this job...
Sorry...my husband just went through a bunch of interviewing...and I heard all the lame bull **** that he fed each employer..about great opportuntities..and learning the business from someone who's been there forever..blah..blah..
Yeah..I'd just call and ask...and if they say YES..when do you need me to start?!

Since the manager gave you his number, so it means to say that you have to call him for any question and then invite him to a cold place where you can talk smoothly. And, of course, a simple lunch or dinner will be there for you to pay for it. And, of course again, your dream job will soon to come. Good luck....!
