Is being a mail carrier a decent job as far as the pay and benefits in relation to the work performed? How annoying is it dealing with the heavy seasonal mail loads and horrible weather days? Do you really get a lot of exercise from walking the routes even if you have a truck to help? Are dogs a big problem in some yards? I was considering trying to get into this line of work. I live in a suburban area of LI, NY. Any feedback positive or negative would be appreciated.

I come up with great ideas for new inventions or ideas to improve a product (a new feature). But the problem is I don't know what to do next? I know I need a patent but where do I go, where do I get one? I hear this number on a radio to call for information but I'm scared that they might trick me into taking my idea. What do I do next? Help me please, any useful tips will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have two credit cards that have about $8,000 in debt between them. I am serious about paying them both off, and pretty much will go as far as starving to get it done. It would just be so much cheaper and easier if this was one bill instead of two. I have played the balance transfer game, but at this point it seems like adding another bill would be more problematic than consolidating. I just don't know how to do it or who to trust.

Is there any downside to consolidation?

You couldn't use your social security # which is virtually required for everything. What type of living could you make without showing ID or S.S.#. To get a car or drivers license, ID & SS# is required. Any records you have of prior education, etc. would be useless or unable to use. If you leave the country, what country could you stay for unlimited time with no ID and one you could make a decent wage? What trade could be done in anothr country without showing some ID? With computer systems able to track your almost every move across the country when using your true ID, & SS#, your options are truely limited. Any suggestions would help.

I've recently been receiving calls from a company that claims I have paid for a trip to Disney World back in 2004. They claim I owe them $300. I have never heard of this company nor have I signed up for any such offers. My caller-Id reads "Global Promotions" ,but for some reason I am never able to call them back to get further information. They have been repeatedly calling my home. Do you have any information on any such company or any scams that sound like this?

Last year, I was a victim of a well-known work bully. She is a boss, and she rules by instilling fear. Everyone at this place knows she is a bully. She picks out people, scrutinises them and puts them on a "development plan" which she monitors until she gets bored and gives up or gets rid of them. Last year, she gave me a lot of stress by scrutinizing me when I was having family problems (bereavement). She offered me counselling. All I needed was to be left alone for a bit but she made me think my job was on the line and gave me a development plan, which meant spending a lot of time with a "mentor" to deal with petty issues which I was more than capable of dealing with myself. She systematically picks off people and puts them onto such "development plans". She demeans people and humiliates them. The problem is, she does the big boss's dirty work for him. What can we do?!?
