Recently, I have become the guy with the "bad attitude" because I am unwilling to work any overtime (which is not mandatory). Not even a year ago, I had been working 60 hour weeks for a few months straight. The only gain I received was in the paycheck. Being a "team player" only seemed to help the company and did not improve any chance for promotion, etc. I am less worried about the extra money on my paycheck as I am about moving ahead in my job. I am still meeting expectations, just not going beyond. Obviously, this will not help any advancement opportunity either. Here is the question: Will bringing this reason up for not wanting to go above and beyond actually increase my chances or will they overlook that and possibly take disciplinary action for attitude? This is a non-union hourly wage position. I am more than willing to work the overtime and put forth more effort, if I can be guaranteed a better reward (besides recognition for hours worked). Will this philosphy work?

SO here is my question.. I'm looking to start a small business and wanted to know how many people would actually pay to have someone come in and clean up the back yard? Am I going down the wrong path here. What roadblocks should I expect to hit?

I just purchased a trailer home and paid cash for it. I have a bill of sale and receipt from the previous owners but was told I should get a "title" for it like you do a vehicle. When mentioning this to the previous owners, who bought this house new 10 years ago, they act like they have no idea what I am talking about. How should i proceed with this? I paid the spring taxes on it and have fall coming up soon, person at the court house said i need a "Title"
Any ideas are welcome.

my sister just died, and I think a man in mom and my dads life is scamming them. He owns slum hotels in WV and FLA and is "being so gracious" to have my parents get a loan for him for 15 thousand, he says they will be "silent partners" and acts as if he is doing them a favor by keeping them off the books so they dont get taxed.I have until febuary to stop it and the only way would be to discredit "buddy". Any help would be greatly appreciated, and how would I go about getting a check ran on the guy and his slum hotels? what can I do to help my mother get money documented so they dont get taken.

I am trying to close on a house that had many issues on the loan. I've even got to the end, and the bank saw a judgement on my credit that the underwriter didnt catch. 2 mos later, my credit has dropped and the bank wants to lend me 95% instead of 100%. I dont have the money to put down, and my realtor is unable to help me with 900.00. The builder and lender are both pitching in,and the lender said he has a friend that is willing to put his name on my loan and will help me, but he dont want to cause bad relationship with my realtor. The full amount I need to come up with is 1900.00. Is it unethical or illegal to do this, and should I feel bad about changing realtors. He is someone I have been aquainted with for years, and I dont want to hurt him. He didnt help me find the house, or anything, but he has been consulting me on this house since I put my ernest money down in July. Im so confused. What is the best/right thing to do? I have to look out for my family and their best intrest too

Mine is 6 pages long... I would like to condense it to one or 2 pages but I need to see the format which is acceptable to American companies.

Do you have to include your date of birth and marital status anymore? I heard this was not really necessary. Do I have to list all my education, or just the highest level?

Please list websites where I may find samples. Thanks

My partner and I have a C-type coporation that we opened a couple of months ago. The president of corporation is him and I hold 50% of shares. My partner want out because he is starting the family, therefore I need to become a president and 100% owner. How do I do that? Would it be enough for him to sign a share with his 50% transfer to me? Or do I need to fill out a special form or a letter signed by both parties?

I have a home depot account that hasn't been pd in over a year with a balance close to 5k. It is currently with a collection agency that will not accept a settlement. I have recently recovered a settlement in a lawsuit, and have offered a settlement to citibank and the collection agency of 2k which is over 40% of the balance. The collection company told me I could pay installments of 25 per month or send the balance in full. No settlement. Just got off the phone woth citibank...same story, and the citibank rep would not send me to a supervisor or manager. Any suggestions?

I bought a laptop for college and have been using it strictly for college, along with paying 300$ a month in college payments. Please tell me if I attended school this year that it's tax deductible?
It would be nice to hear since becoming a college student has become very taxing on my pocket.

My house has been on the market in Oregon for four months and it hasn't sold yet. I have decided to refinance the home and stick it out for a few more years. Do I owe the realtor anything for cancelling the listing and refinancing instead?

I am in Arizona. My girlfriend owns a house with her sister. They have a horrible realtor and there maybe be a contract with her but neither are sure and haven't asked yet. Typically how long would a contract last and would both owners of the house have to sign it or only one owner?

One sister wants to buy the other sister out of the house now and the realtor is expecting her commission if they decide to do that and has not even been helpful selling the house. Its been up now for about 4 months with Realty Executives.

I'm in sales and a coworker of mine sold a deal in my territory, which he was not allowed to do. When I brought this to the attention of my manager, he made us split the commission. It would have been fine if it ended right there, but because of him it didn't. My coworker is obviously a spaz and started getting real loud with me and caused a scene and said you don't know who you are f***ing with. He said this really loud in front of like 10 people who are witnesses. He was totally out of control, but I kept my cool and never raised my voice. He was also talking trash about me when I wasn't at work yet that morning, saying really loud "All he does is spend his money at whore houses, now I'm going to f**k him in the a*s!!", trying to deface me. Should I go to HR and issue a formal complaint? What are the repercussions to me if I do this, if any? Does it go on my record that I issued the complaint? I work for a very large company that is a Broker Dealer and have my NASD Series 7.
