Isn't it apparent that the size had a direct relationship to the note's worth?...it also makes it more difficult to counterfeit.

It's easier to identify the different denominations, just like US (and other) coins are different sizes for different denominations...

Makes it easier to identify the denomination, especially in low light situations or for someone who is visually impaired.

Apart from the counterfeiting issues it makes it easier for visually impaired people to tell notes apart.

makes it harder to print illegally. You'd have to make separate templates and run a different machind to cut and color each bill.

That, and if something can be made simple, europe will find a way to complicate it.
