I am 28 years old and I am in the military. I make about 40k. My wife is 26 and makes 40k a year. I will get out of the military in two years after serving for four. We have about 150k saved and should have another 40K or so in two years. We are want to buy a house for about 150k when I get out. Neither of use have much money saved for retirement--only about 20k. Should we buy a house outright or pay a large part on a down payment and finance the rest allowing us to invest some for retirement or just for emergencies? Advice?

I really want to start a career in IT, but have no formal qualifications in this field. As I don't want to go to Uni full time, I was wondering if there were any companies who have good training schemes, where you can earn whilst you train?

I like the idea but worry that it would draw the ire of anti-trust groups for being a monopoly. But when we consider our flooded domestic market of imports, I don't think America has much of a choice.

I grew up in the rust belt and could never buy a foreign made automobile. I hope American companies get with the program and start offering more fuel efficient models that still have American style.

It makes me upset to see that the US economy is not a manufacturing economy any more. We need to get that back.

I challenge anyone to find a network marketing company that, within its first 10 years, exceeds $2,000,000,000. If anyone can give me the CORRECT answer, they could win $10,000.00. This is no joke.

this tenant had denied me entry into the apartment 3 times yet files a breach of obligation because i haven't done repairs. the second time i tried to gain access she called the police on us because we came to her door to see if she would let the repairman in the next day. she tries to provoke us into saying things that seem like threats.so far i have refrained from taking the bait . but i'd say informing her we need entry to make repairs in front of 2 police officers is sufficient notice and proof of trying to make repairs. the next day she sent the breach of obligation. hello let us in and we'll make them. the reason i am most concerned is the roof is leaking and i had roofers check it out and repair it but she hangs up on me if i call so how do i know it's fixed?

Back in March, they change the account number in which my garnishments were going to, they didn't notify my employer. My employer was sending the money to the wrong account #, therefore arrears were accumulating in the new account and money was going into the old account. Last week, I went to a job interview and everything were great, most likely they are going to run a backgroung check on me, etc. I also learned today that child support agency reported to the credit bureau's that my account is in collection, when actually it is not. Now, I am so pissed that the company might find this erroneous information on me and deny me this job opportunity. I've called customer service and they telling me that there's nothing I can't do about now but to dispute it with the credit bureaus. That's not fair, what about my rights? I am getting screwed because of some freaking morons.

I have set up four alerts under Stocks. Three under Daily Summary and one My Market Summary. I almost never get them. They should come daily on days the market is open. I have tried alternate email addresses.

Is anyone else having this problem?
I have sent comments to the Yahoo Alerts site but never get a reply.
Anybody know of a more reliable source of market closing prices? Like maybe google finance?
