Say you've worked at a national retail dep. store at the mall for 3 yrs, you recently (3 wweks ago) took on a second job as a nursing home care aide. You're being paid 6.30/hr at the store, and 6.25 at the nursing home. You were just offered a position as manager at the store full time, if you take it you have to quite the nursing home. The person who gives you the offer for manager says, "what will it take for you to stay with us full time as jewelry manager?" The pay for the previous manager was $8. It's funny because I was thinking of starting classes to become a registered nurses aide, and perhaps courses to be an LPN so I can make more money (LPN would take me at least a year or two), because I wanted to start working full-time and really enjoyed things at the nursing home, then again, I enjoy my job at the mall too. Problem is I don't know about the apy if I could move up higher at the store, but I do know that LPN's can make $18-more /hr.

Here's the scenario: You currently have a job that has standard stuff (reasonable pay, benefits, etc). This job also has a pension plan in place, but will no longer be available to new hires as of 1/1/07. But as for right now you would have the pension if you stayed until retirement (assuming no circumstances like the company going broke and terminating pension).

My question is how much weight would you put in that pension plan if you got a job offer similar to your current job but it was a little better (in terms of pay, cheaper insurance, shorter drive, etc) without the pension plan?

I know computers inside and out, I've been a professional technician (electronics, communication) for the past seven years, I've had A+ training (haven't taken the test yet though), I'm used to dealing with customers in their homes, and I have good people skills. What more would I need to do to get hired?
Also, I'd appreciate it if you'd tell me a typical geek squad salary if you know it, since I can't find that info anywhere.

We have had a candle shop in a busy tourist town for about 20 years. It is in a good location and we have a lot of repeat customers. The business has made very little proffit in the last few years. Because our competitors are selling cheap imports, prices haven't been raised for a long time. Any suggestions on how to make more proffit?

Does anyone from experiance know of a good affiliate program? I work full-time and I am looking for something I can do to make extra money. I would rather not pay a fee. Please don't give me info on survey sites or any type of scam. If you have something that worked for you please let me know. Thank you.

I work for Manchester Samaritans and I'm trying to look for different ways to raise funds for our branch.

- - I have recently set up an ebay account to sell donated goods.
- - There is a company called Reclaim-it who pay charities for used ink cartridges and mobile phones.
- - We hold regular bucket shakes in the city centre.
- - We do raffles now and again and volunteers hold talks.

If you have any other ideas, they are much appreciated, thanks!
