I'm interested in starting a business. However, i'm unable to do it myself because i'm disabled and get many benefits both medical and social security that I cannot lose. This help from the federal and state level are extremely helpfull and very expensive so it is important that I do not make money. I was going to use my father as the business owner . In effect it will be his business and I woulds just run everything. My problem is this. Because he already has a business and earns money what would be the best way to setup the business so that when tax season come around calculating what my business cost him would be easier? It would kick him up to a different tax bracket so things would need to be divided fairly somehow?I thought if i started the business as an llc or corporation that would help because it is its own entity.. And in addition the corporation as well.
Is starting just a second business under his name the best way?
this wil be his bussiness what would best?

We're finding really excellent mortgage rates at some online mortgage places, and they send us good faith estimates and everything. We've been warned however that sometimes these internet companies will get to the closing and either have changed the rate, or pile on a whole lot of unexpected closing costs. Is there any way we can check these guys out before we commit? (e.g. the one we're looking at is Madison First Financial, aka Madrate.com

I put a bid on a house and the seller countered. The seller didn't really come back with much of a counter. It looks like they just shifted money around in different areas. What are some good ideas on coming back with a counter-counter but still give the impression that I am serious about buying the house? I don't want to get the short end of the stick. Here is the scenario:

House listed for $300k. I offered $285k. County market value $294k. I offered to pay closing costs and eliminated the request for the repairs to be done (about $3-5k worth). The seller came back with an offer of $297k but wants 1% in earnest money - which is the the 1% that they lowered the house by and offered to pay $1k in closing. They also want to close in 30 days which will be hard for me to do because I was scheduled to be out of town that week, so I pushed it out to 45 days. Isn't this reasonable?

I am thinking that the seller isn't serious. Should I walk away?

I am starting with an ebay business, but within the next 5 years I would like o have a full blown Internet business. I already know what I will be selling, and several sources to purchase from, My husband and I have been in the industry for almost 8 years, in many different aspects. But neither of us have ever been involved in internet sales. We will also be opening a storefront, but in this day and age you can't get by without the internet side of things. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Okay, i got into a car accident about a year ago. This lady is suing me now. my auto insurance company has tried to settle this with her before going to court. She won't accept it. I was told that my insurance will pay for the settlement but if the claim has to go through court, this whole thing will somehow go on my credit report. I have really good credit right now. i think it's up to 746 right now. Do you know if and how this will affect my credit?
