Condo's value fluctuate with the market, tending to appreciate.

An important exception: Some areas of the US have "Condo Bubbles", where speculators bought condos before the development was complete, intending to 'flip' the property by selling just before it was ready for occupancy.

In places like this, a significant part of the demand causing price appreciation was fueled by speculators, not would-be condo owners.

In those parts of the country, condo prices for all condos in the area are suffering from a price decline.

I bought a condo that doubled in value in the last 5 years! I'm planning on buying condos and letting them "grow" and getting a profit. However I must warn you that the housing market isn't as great as it was a few years ago.

The housing market is in a correction, the expenditures rose swifter than peoples earnings ans unsustainable project which has now come domicile to roost. i do no longer see it bottoming out till a minimum of spring of 09. training realized in it really is they gained't delight in quick as they did in the ninety's because too a lot of human beings and speculators were given burned, and it became a synthetic appreciation fueled through speculators, and undesirable loans, and persons basically searching to make a speedy dollar. it is going to go back to what it could be 2-3% in holding with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. houses should be a lengthy time period funding it truly is what became forgotten, and that is what led to this mess we are at cutting-edge in.

Sure, they follow market trends like houses. Houses generally appreciate fastest, then condos, then mobiles-- unless its a city market where condos are hot hot hot, like NYC...then they appreciate just as fast, if not faster.
