I was 19 when my was destroyed. I needed an emergency surgery and didn't have insurance. The "doctors" couldn't figure out what caused the pain, but told me I have endometreosis and also took my apendix.

The bills were overwhelming and I paid what I could- but didn't really have that good of a job. Parents and family couldn't help out.

So because I thought I was going to die, didn't have medical insurance and couldn't keep up with bills (I tried to work out payment plans with no avail) My $20,000 Surgery fkd me for life.

With the housing mkt being what it is any ideas on how to sell a LITTLE more quickly. My husband got transferred 2 months ago and I am here trying to sell and with 2 little girls. I know the market is slow but does anyone have any ideas? I have a GREAT agent, am on the MLS, in 2 magazines. I was thinking of writing a letter and sending it to local real estate companies telling them that if they sell my house not only will they get the 3% commission but ALSO a $2000 bonus! what does everyone think? I'm getting kind of desperate. We have already dropped the price by $25k and we are still the lowest in our development. Our home shows like a model! NEED suggestions. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm wondering about books, web sites, software, magazines, etc. We have Macs at home, own rental properties, currently keep finances on customized spreadsheets in Appleworks. Would like better sync with online banking for a more comprehensive and integrated picture. Also want to have a comprehensive source for information so that we consider all the key elements of our finances without letting things fall through the cracks.

Thanks.

Sign for a job that is more money I am told I dont qualify. I have been offered a job but that was a 2 dollar pay cut and being a single woman, with a house and makng my way by myself, I will not go down in pay. I am getting angry that none of my basic requests at work are being answered by my manger and I feel that this is rude and maybe I am being slowly phased out. My department is being closed out slowly and moved to another location and I will move, but since an old co-worker came back to the department, I am being dumped from the position I was sure that was going to be mine. I want to stay with the company (good insurance, benefits, etc.) but feel that I am not being given any opportunites what so ever. I find myself so angry at work and I often find myslef dwelling on work even when I am at home. I often get upset stomach aches before coming in each day. I know I am intelligent but just dont seem to be given a break. I am here every day and work hard. What should I do?

Although NASD regulations prohibit it, I know it's possible because the OTC bulletin board is publishing short interest stats on their web site. Is it only non-U.S. investors who are shorting stocks under $5?

Right now my FICO score is 584 (I made some bad mistakes a while back). Can I still qualify for a hime loan or am I condisered worthless? I have a great job (I've been w/ the same company for 14 years) and a nice salary. Should I even try? Or should I wait 2 more years for the charge offs to drop off my report?

I found two homes (next door to each other) completely gutted (no plumbing and no electric) but has walls with fresh paint and no structral damage or termite damage. The owner is selling both for 150k. I'm really intrested by this would be my first investment purchase. The community is poor now but the city has already started in the the total renovation of the area. It's gotten a 20% rise in property value in just one year! How much do you think it will cost to renovated both homes???

I'm majoring in journalism, but I'd like some advice on where to go from here. What else can I do right now? I still have a few years of school left. I am interested in writing for a newspaper or magazine. I'd appreciate any advice from people with experience in the field.

besides CEOs (CEOs sometimes have to go to work 40 hours a week)

I have one.. (Movie stars) Some movie stars only make 15 to 30 movies in their life time, and each movie is only 1 1/2 avg long.
So the total hours they work for way less than regular workers work. Okay, there are some re-do in film making, but I still think they are overpaid with less hours work!

Do you have some others??

I have five clients with an estimated outstanding combined balance of $2600.00 USD and we want to collect! I have been working with collection agencies but I am curious, can I send the information to the credit bureaus as a delinquent account? This would obviously add clout and help me collect on the outstanding balances. I believe the statute of limitations is 5 years in Maryland, so I have plent of time to get this done. Any information would be helpful.
