How do you deal with "rats"in the office ?

I mean the 2 legged ones who brown-nose the boss and undermine everybody.

How can anyone work harder if they cheat us out of our overtime constantly ?

The problem exists in just about every job I had. You cannot
get rid of them, you ignore them, and if you can, undermine them.If they show off work that was yours and claim it as theirs, you need to confront them in your bosses office. However that can also backfire too. Most of the time stay away and for working later, that only works if your boss will know about it, otherwise you're putting more into the company than those brown-nosers and don't reap any rewards. In the end nobody gives a sh.t, how much you do, you are replaceable and there's nothing you can do about it. Just be sure in the knowledge, one of these days, someone will clobber those bastards.

The problem is not your co-workers but a boss who allows herself or himself to be manipulated or enjoys manipulating people. If your boss is going to be around for over a year, you might be able to wait-out this boss's departure but, otherwise, you may not be able to influence your boss to be fair.

Try sending your boss weekly memos listing your accomplishments and suggesting ideas for improvement. If you get a bad reaction or no reaction after the first or second week, update your resume and look for a transfer within your company or start an external job search just to see what's available.

It's more common than you think--at all levels.

I agree with btrixy, HOWEVER, look at those M.F.s funny and everytime they say ANYTHING to you, be sarcastic and talk to them in a nasty way. I KNOW it's wrong, but it'll kinda make people leave you alone. There is a brownnoser at my job who snitched on me by telling our manager that I told another co-worker that they didn't have to transfer to another place if he didn't want to. I got confronted by the manager and she told me that SHE was forcing him and some other co-workers to transfer to another place and that if they refuse to transfer, they would no longer have a job. MOST of the time, I DO NOT like this department manager. I am the hardest working person in my department and she and everybody else in the department are trying to work me harder than I already am. NOW that she realizes that I have already filled out a transfer to another store and that tomorrow is my last day at that store (I work in a supermarket BTW), she's trying to convince me to stay. Without me, she and MOSTLY everybody in my department at the store that I work at are SCREWED. LMMFAO at them contemptuously!!!!!

If you do your work the best you can, keep your own business private and avoid "office gossip", then there is nothing for anyone to say about you. Trust God to reward your hardwork and obedience and dont focus on what the next person is getting. What God has for you, is for you.

you're literally no longer Milton, yet in case you sense like you want to be, basically positioned arsenic of their guacamole. regardless of each little thing, they stole your cheese. once you're saying "dice individual", i anticipate you'd be short and squarish, like the Lego human beings, which may be something to flaunt. also, meatloaf is fantastic. once you eventually bypass, make positive you tell them so long....and then whisper "continually".

Try to be really busy so you can be considered hard worker. It a boss is good he will prefer you than the whiners and suck ups.

keep notes and get together with anyone you can trust and once you have enough data take it to HR or get a letter from an attorney about defamation of character, that may wake them up.

You don't, you just keep it cool and stay away from people of that sort because they will turn their back on you in a second. Stay cautious and stay clear from people like that- you'll gain more self-respect and pride if you just do your job and nothing more.
