Forgive me, but I have to laugh at some of these answeres....maybe these are the "unmotiviatable idiots" that are talked about...hahaha. Although I do have to agree and believe each book is kind of a remake of the last. I scanned my sons book, the first one, and then scanned several at the bookstore and bought "Prophecy" and found it well worth the read. I did grow up with this mindset already, and it was still enlightening, but it also helped my son understand why I fought so fiercely to make it on my own-which I eventually did. The books are not a "how to" but teaches the mindset that it takes to make it rich. There are millions of ways to make it rich, which you see once you get the mindset that he gives you......and I think some of these people missed that. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Bobbo. I have read most of the series and Mr Kiyosaki doesn't tell you much as far as how to get from rags to riches so to say. Like a lot of these books, seminars and tapes, I think they should fess up and tell the truth: Wanna get rich? Write a book about how to get rich and say very little in it, but motivate, motivate and motivate. I think it was Jim Rohn who said: Be careful who you motivate. If you motivate an idiot, all you have in the end is a motivated idiot. Don't get me wrong, motivation is important and gets some people off their lazy behinds and gets them going on some amazing journey, but mostly, these books don't teach you anything except that the secret is not in the current book but will be revealed in the next book of the series....and the next, and the next. All a big rip off. Don't waste your money. Rather invest it in something safe.

I have read quite a few of them. However, and perhaps you have noticed this, he never really tells you HOW to make money. He always speaks in generalities. I.e. buy and sell real estate, network marketing businesses, stocks, etc. He doesn't say Do This: buy this type of property, fix it this way, market it this way, sell it this way, etc. Also, all of his books basically repeat what he said in the original. What I've noticed is that the whole series is just a money making scam, because he never really tells you how to do anything - it's always just read my other book X. He's playing us all!

I read the book. It is well worth the effort. It has not changed my life. I have been a life long practitioner of the rich dad philosophy.
Learned it from my dad. He learned it from his dad.

It's changed my life from the moment I read it, but it's taken some time to really change my life around. By changing my patterns of spending, which required changing the way that I viewed EVERYTHING in life.

You should try playing Cashflow, it really helps as well.

Actually, Beachy, you need to re-read those books. They state that education is very important. Degrees are not important.

it was a good book..teaches you a lot of things...just didnt like the part where the author is kinda saying that education is not really vital for success...because i think it is.
