I did understand the basic concepst but I do not realize exactly how much is a thousand impressions. How are they measured? Also where can I find some statistics about how many impressions/clicks are normally done on a medium-high traffic site. I want to assess the price of posting such banners and I don't know how many impressions mean "a lot" and how many mean "a little". Thanks!

I used to be General Manager of a business, but when my wife became pregnant with twins, I scaled back to Engineering Manager so I wouldn't have to work so much and was more available to help with the kids. They are now two and I am looking to be a General Manager again at a new company. I am afraid if I tell them this reason for the demotion they will take it as I will be leaving all the time when something happens with my kids. I work in a very "old generation" fathers type of industry.
